On tap at Bend pub. Pours out a golden straw topped with a small head. Nose is tropical fruit pine and a nice sweet malt. Taste is lots more of the tropical fruit sweetness and a good bitterness on the end. skoisirius (1909) - Earth, Washington, USA - JUN 16, 2014
Bomber picked up from the Bier Stein, Eugene, OR about a month ago. Big tropical nose, sweet malt hints, little bits of pine. Flavor is fairly translucent to the nose bringing out a big piney front, a well done sweet malt body that’s smooth, and a load of tropical fruit bitterness at the end. Good stuff. Really it can’t get much better than this. Designed my my "nephew" Brett Thomas in 2009 and brewed my him in 2013 at Silvermoon Brewing for this review. It’s the perfect rendition of NW style IPA or DIPA .. all others should be judged against it. The 2014 version is sweeter with lower ABV and IBU’s yet the tastiest of all IPA/DIPA I’ve had. I live in Central OR where we know Hoppy Beer and this is the real deal. I appreciate that we all have different tastes...but if you want to know what we like in the NW...this is it.

Straw, white head, excellent clarity. Sweet, tropical dried fruit nose. Flavor is summit-derived dank cannabis, pine, and typical citra pungent mango. Touches of c hop bitterness shape this beer nicely. Some honey-like residual sweetness is present, which serves to balance this big boy. Overall very impressive. Well done silver moon!
