COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An English style dry porter, the Snake Bite is dark, crisp, smokey and delicious. Die hard porter fans come back for this one. Self proclaimed "non-beer-drinkers" have been wooed to the craft side of beer by it too. By popular demand we serve this beer year round.

Deep heavy brown with a foamy light tan head. Lovely cinnamon and roasty cocoa nose with a little black malt and more dark cocoa. Clean and medium flavor with some roasted malt, biscuity cocoa, and a dryish roasted light finish.

Pours a finger and half of tan head on a black body.
The aroma is chocolate, wood and roasted malt. Nice.
The taste is a little watery, sweet, then some metallic bitterness.
The texture is crisp.
A nice porter.

Super smooth and creamy body, decent roasted malt flavors, a mild bitterness but not really a hop bite.

Draft pour at the silver leaf. Pours a cola black with a huge foamy tan head. Mild coffee roast and malt aroma. With a name like snake bite, I expected it to have a bite too it but this beer is so smooth. A bit of a dessert beer. Sweet vanilla and chocolate flavors with a sweeter finish. Overall, a really tasty porter. Really enjoyed this.

"easily the best of the 3 we had from there. not quite a standout, but something i would drink again. pours nearly black with a nice roasted malt and coffee/smoke aroma. similar flavor. a touch thin, but has a robust flavor."

At Silvermoon with Taylor on a hot Saturday in bend. Pours black with thick grey head. Aroma is roasted malt, marshmallow, chocolate, hint of rubber. Taste is light, rubber burnt malt. Finishes long and rubbery.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2017 Legitimate Porter flavor. I have a feeling this brewery will be producing many great beers in the future.

Re-Rating 3/30/2017:

I’ve had it before, and gave it a 3.8 out of 5. I’d say it’s still the same.

Bottle.

Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing.
Body is dark brown to black.

Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (chocolate, caramel, roasted grain), with a note of vanilla.

Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter.

Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.

A simple, plain rendition, but no flaws. Not enough balance for the sweetness.

Dark brown ale. Off white head lasts an hour plus. Sharp roasty nose. Sharper roasty flavor with a mellow middle amd milky finish. Not my rav. Want porters to be smoother, less roast and more cocoa.

Tap at Silver Moon. Someone needs a graphic designer. Pours a deep brown with healthy foam. Nose is coffee, savory, hazelnut. Taste has a harsh coffee bite, soap, chemical, hydrogen peroxide. Papery palate. Huh.
