Great Beer! Tried it for the first time last night at Venti’s in Salem, OR. Looks like a dark porter, but comes across as a light one. robforbes (2266) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - OCT 8, 2012

Great porter! I see why it won gold. Really clean a flavorful. Big roasty and extra dark. Smooth and ultra drinkable. One of the best I have ever had. Smoky peat. BlackEyePA (574) - USA - JUL 6, 2012
Really awesome. Such a nice blend of creamy, smooth, rich, balanced malt/hop and mouthfeel, with a kiss of smoke. Overall really well made and I like the lil smoke and it doesnt ruin the palate pleasure. Good job

From the brewery tap, pours a nice black with brown edges. Head is thick and is darker than most porters. Roasted nose, coffee, and chocolate make a good combination with some hop aroma noticeable. Big dry roasted flavor, black malts, and chocolate. Good beer. Syzzer (736) - Oregon, USA - MAR 18, 2012
Vintage 2011, 22oz Bomber. Won Gold 2009 North American Brewers Awards. This is a nice smooth burnt porter. Zymurgeist2 (2364) - Redwood City, California, USA - NOV 10, 2011
On tap at the brewery. My favorite brew of the sampler. Great aroma with smoke and some chocolate. Beautiful opaque with full head. Nice medium bodied mouthfeel. bb (9789) - Alamo, California, USA - NOV 7, 2011
Bottle. Blackish beer with a brown head. Chocolate and light roast aroma. Light roast and light caramel flavor with light coffee. Medium bodied. Light roast and light caramel lingers with light coffee and light vanilla. reebtogi (6378) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 23, 2011
650ml bottle poured almost black in color with a big beige head and some thin lacing. Aroma of roasted malts and chocolate with a hint of coffee. Taste is roasted malty sweetness and chocolate and coffee with a mild hop bitterness. A nice porter that is worth a try.
