The deep red color gives you a hint of this ale’s full flavor. Its rich maltiness comes from Crystal and Vienna malts. Golding and Cascade hops give it a subtle, bitter finish. Caution: at 8% alcohol, this beer’s got horsepower!

Amber with creamy white head and lace. Light caramel malt and EK hops. Medium semi sweet caramel malt, abv, and very light hops. Slightly thin and over carbonated for me. A good beer but just off a tick.

on tap-pours an off white head and amber color. Aroma is sweet caramel malt. Taste is lots of caramel medium malt, hint of hops.

Draft @ Silver Peak. Pours a bright, clear orange-amber color; light tan head with fine-bubbled lacing. Very light aroma: red fruits and a very slight touch of cinnamon. Medium mouthfeel: chewy red fruits, candy sugar, and some basic sweetness upfront; mild mineral and floral bitterness; slight astringency and a bit of boring stickiness; kind of bland, especially for the level of alcohol. Medium finish: as always, very toasty, cereal, and basic red fruits.

A reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. In mouth, a buttery red ale, with cloying notes of diacetyl. Same in aroma. Not my style. On tap at brewpub, August 2007.

UPDATED: SEP 11, 2008 On tap at Silver Peak Reno, NV Pours out a nice amber topped with a off white head. Nice roast malt and a little sweetness going on as well.

On tap @ Silver Peak poured a clear reddish amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of light carmel and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel and fruitiness with a crisp lightly bitter finish.

A sweet caramel aroma. Quite nice. Caramel comes through in all stages of this. A pleasant sweet-hop finish. One of their betters in this 11-sampler!!

On tap with amber pour. Pretty sweet with some fruit and a basic amber taste. Pretty standard amber that hides the alcohol well.

BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - SEP 20, 2004
Ruby hue, plenty of carbonation & lacing. Aroma of caramel, apparent alcohol & hoppy toasted notes. Flavor is sharp with carbonation but has a dry bitterness & tasty sweetness throughout. The tail is smooth, balanced. Moderately hoppy strong ale. Good but not exceptional.
