Bottle, shared by TylerDurden. Dark brown, like an old penny, with an average beige head. Aroma is roasty, some faint metal. Flavours of burnt malt and dark caramel, thin mouthfeel, moderately bitter finish. Just ok. crazy_cat_lady (541) - - APR 23, 2015
In March’s Brew Box. Very dark with slightly off white head. Aromas of coffee and chocolate, but quite weak. Thin mouth feel, especially considering it’s a stout. Bitter coffee and dark chocolate flavours with a hint of salt. Nothing special. firefly765 (195) - - MAR 27, 2015
Pours a dark brown. Not much aroma. A bit light bodied for a stout. No oyster character noted. Not special. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 11, 2014

650ml bottle. Black colour, red edges, almost no head. Chocolate and malt aromas, maybe some psychosomatic salt? Salted chocolate taste. Thin body for a stout. Overall, didn’t go to sea water. Didn’t love it or hate it, but a fuller body would have helped a lot.

[Draught at Beerbistro] Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with a small semi-lasting frothy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, salt, a bit of coffee and some vanilla -- smells quite nice. Fruit and roasted malt flavour along with some chocolate, some coffee and light hops -- it’s surprisingly fruity. Moderate bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. Better then expected, quite good. On tap at Volo. Pours a dark brown with orange edges and moderate-sized, soapy tan head. Aroma is quite roasty with lots of coffee, some dark chocolate and hints of fishiness. Flavour is also very roasty with coffee, a little cocoa and the oyster juices in the finish. Not that I have a lot to compare it to, but a nice oyster stout. Tessic (1146) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 30, 2013
This stout poured a deep black colour with a serious lack of a nice creamy head. To the nose there are scents of caramel, coffee, smoke and maybe a little soy sauce? First sip was slightly thin but flavor wise is pretty good. Flavours of roasted malt and a little coffee, lightly sweet with very low carbonation. Finish is burnt with a long drawn out flavor of burnt. jercraigs (10303) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 12, 2013
2013-11-01. Black body with a small tan head and lace. 3+ Aroma of roast, very mild dark malt. Flavour is moderately roasty throughout, lightly dusty, light tangy quality in the finish, roast lingers. Whisper of dark chocolate as it warms up. Average plus bodied palate, good amount of carbonation. Okay. On tap at Bar Hop, Toronto BeerGolem (821) - Quebec, CANADA - OCT 28, 2013
Sample on tap at Imbibe (Kitchener, Ont.). Pours black with off-white head. Aroma: malty, but not much there. Interesting sweet vanilla taste, some chocolate and coffee. Bitter finish. Carbonation is light. Ok beer, but forgettable.
