3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled. Sampled at De 7 Schaken, Antwerp .
Brown colour with rich, white head. Tasted like a classic Belgian Strong Ale, yet with pretty light body. No alcohol feel in this one. Medium fruity, with nice, soft maltiness and with subtle chocolate notes.
Pours dark brown , good white foam
Smell is sweet, some chocolate, some caramel malts .
Taste is rather intence ( to my expectations ) . Sweet, some chocolate, some earth . Touch of bitterness . Earthy aftertaste .
Hint to much carbonation, but still doable .
I like this one, actualy . But i can imagine that every place that serves this, has something better as well ... Bart (2937) - Brussels, BELGIUM - APR 18, 2012
Bottle @ De 7 Schaken, Antwerp. Darker blond coloured with some light carbonation and a medium white head. Rather suggary and sweet malty yeasty hinted aroma with some very light hints of alcohol. Full light creamy palate. Finish is again rather sweet suggary with some herby malty endings. Too young maybe?
