[Bottled] Pale yellow, hazy, rich head. Swetay paper aroma. Fairly sweet, medium bodied, strong notes of dough. Low bitterness. That touch of dough gives it some life and discerns it from the river of pale lagers. Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 12, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 13, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) I’ve had spelt-beers from Belgium and Germany before, but this blend of 70% barley-malt and 30% (unmalted?) spelt is pretty unique I believe. Beautiful yellow colour, unfiltered. Decent Head. Curious - but not unpleasant - smell that seems familiar, I don’t remember from what though. In the first mouthfull this has a pilsener-presence, but the spelt adds a spicy edge. Quite interesting variation of a pils. 260601 Beerhunter111 (23265) - Beerland, GERMANY - APR 18, 2014
