UPDATED: JUN 13, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Ive had spelt-beers from Belgium and Germany before, but this blend of 70% barley-malt and 30% (unmalted?) spelt is pretty unique I believe. Beautiful yellow colour, unfiltered. Decent Head. Curious - but not unpleasant - smell that seems familiar, I dont remember from what though. In the first mouthfull this has a pilsener-presence, but the spelt adds a spicy edge. Quite interesting variation of a pils. 260601

[Bottled] Pale yellow, hazy, rich head. Swetay paper aroma. Fairly sweet, medium bodied, strong notes of dough. Low bitterness. That touch of dough gives it some life and discerns it from the river of pale lagers.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Bottle in Luxembourg. Non filtered cloudy looking beer. Light palate. Hint of fruit. Crisp champagne like finish. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Good.

Koelschtrinker (19513) - Kln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 7, 2011
Herber Antrunk, deutlich prickelnd. OK. 8/9/8/7/7/7
