Clear mahagony brown with a light off white head. Aromas of caramel malts, burnt toffee and herbs develop with a light dark berry fruit ester and a hint of metal. Soft carbonation with a slick and medium-full body. Rather sweet with some herbal impressions, alcohol warming with flavours that become cloying and clogging on the finish.

Beer #1000. 330ml bottle. Cooper color with very little head. Caramel and dried fruit aroma. The taste is pretty similar. A pretty good take for a Christmas seasonal.

A black currant fist is the first thing that hits your nose but its fastly dissapearing again. The malty nose takes the lead and guides you throughout the rest of your tasting. Its nice marroon colour accompanied by a medium white head will also be your compagnons until the glass will be empty. The flavor of this untypical Luxembourgish christmas beer (all the others are dark (strong) lagers) is definitely inspired by Belgian Dubbels and offers a very nice harmony between its burned caramel sweetness and a subtle dry and herbal hop bitterness. Finish is nicely alcohol aromatic and lingers. A warming beer for the cold season.

Um Weihnachten herum findet man in Luxemburg immer wieder schöne kräftige Weihnachtsbiere. Das aus der Brauerei Simon ist auf alle Fälle einen Versuch wert! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
