Nice copper color with a thick off-white head. Nice floral hops aroma with notes of grapefruit. We can expect a classic IPA. Cascade hops taste hit too hard at the beginning but after it’s smoothing off. Not much complexity but we can feel floral, citrus, roasted grain and a bit of caramel. Very good IPA. Makes the jobs during hot sticky summer afternoon.

Grabbed this in a trade. Poured a light copper colour (think a shiny penny) with a 1 finger head. tiny bit of carbonation present. Slight aroma of pine and grapefruit, with a bit of leafy grass. More taste than aroma thankfully - sweet citrusy hops balanced with caramel malts - Fairly smooth and slick. I suspect this one has a bit of age on it as i remember having this last year in Quebec and it was far hoppier. One to revisit.

Bottle. Solid, but very simple and not too unique. It is fine enough to drink, but certainly not at 3 dollars and change for a 12 ounce bottle.

pours clear orange with a decent off-white head, good retention and lacing. orange, citrus, and pine, along with decent malts, some caramel malts, some roastiness. sharp but relatively short finish. ok-good.

Bottle. Beer is clear copper with a thick off-white head showing good retention and a nice lacing. Aroma is citrusy and floral hops with toasted malt and caramel. Flavor is dominated by cascade hops with citrusy and floral notes and a toasted malt and caramel backbone and a bitter aftertaste. The beer is well balanced. Medium body with a silky mouthfeel and average carbonation. Very well done!

Hazy orange glowing copper body with a dense, thick light tan head. Aroma of very nice and pungent hops, light in body with a touch of a citrus note and a little alcohol and even smaller amount of citrus - not as strong as most American IPAs in the nose, for sure. Medium-bodied; Assertive biting hops up front with not much backbone and not a lot of complexity - the hops hit hard, but after the initial front, the balance is off. Aftertaste shows a touch of hop bitterness, but the pungent flavours don’t last much at all. Overall, a decent beer - good on the hops up front, but the aftertaste, complexity and balance simply aren’t there. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased at Marche de Saveurs du Quebec in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 04-December-2010 for CA$2.25 sampled at home in Washington as my last beer before my next marathon on 24-March-2011.
