Appearance: Pours an orange, amber body with a thick head. Looks just a tad tan. Honestly looks like a lot of IPAs but still looks good. Smell: Sticky & resin-like hops though a little on the down low. Floral & some citrus action. Taste: Big citrus fruit that paves the way for a very nice hop presence that doesn’t overdo it. Has a certain dryness to it. A bit of malt or even caramel if that’s possible? As it warms, shows a little sweetness to it. Astringent yet yummy all at the same time. Develops a sugary, candy-like aspect in the finish as it nears room temp. Mouthfeel: Quite full-bodied with a nice edge. Smooth and bitter all at the same time. Incredible balance and nearly perfect in the palate IMO.

341ml bottle. Clear copper body, medium beige head with decent retention, some lacing. Aroma is a bit dusty: caramel, orange candies, bread, dried apricot. Taste of caramel, grapefruit zest, candies, a hint of resins. Ok.

500ml bottle. Clear amber with a foamy white head. Flavors are toasted cereals, grapefruit, pine resin and earth with grassy and floral notes. Medium body, moderate carbonation, slick texture.

341 ml bottle. I’ve had the DH version before thet ’’regular’’ one. Clear copper color. nice head. Smell is less hoppy than the DH. pine notes and bready. iron odor too. taste is hops, bread, crisper than expected. not sticky. overall good american IPA but the DH version is way better in my books

341ml bottle purchased at La Trappe a Fromage in Gatineau, Quebec. Golden amber in colour with a thin quickly dissipating white head, light lacing. Aroma is of pine, citrus, lightly sweet. Flavour is sticky, sweet, light pine, orange citrus, moderate bitterness. Bitter mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, sticky with a hoppy bitterness. I found this to be refreshing but not overly interesting.

Pours a very slight hazy amber colour with a creamy-frothy warm cap that stays long and gives out some foamy lace. Aromas of oranges with woody hints of the hops and a light caramel malt base. Mildly creamy mouthfeel with a light dry finish. The hop is more present in the taste covering the whole way with the fruity notes. The very light caramel appears way later in the aftertaste. Not bad, but not an IPA I would have again.

Pour is clear light copper with a finger of white cap with great retention but minimal lacing. I get the impression this isn’t the freshest bottle, as I don’t get the intense Cascade aromas described below. Surprisingly I get a lot of light grain and bread, some caramel, and a bit of citrusy hops. Taste follows, with a subtly bitter finish. To steal from another ratings: this seems more like an EPA, but the malt bill is quite nice. Drinkable but not very memorable.
