Appearance: A reddish, copper body appears which is a little hazy but mostly clear. Atop of that rests comfortably a nice thick 2-3 finger head.
Smell: Floral hops mixed with malt and a zesty citrus splash. Quite refreshing.
Taste: Good hop presence set against a good malt backbone. Grapefruit is fairly dominant but it also has a mineral feel to it. For some reason, the taste reminds me of spring and flowers.
Mouthfeel: Though this style is not my favorite, i cannot ignore the incredible balance of this beer. Smooth with a nice dose of bitterness without going overboard. Certainly not as rough as i would have thought. It does have a certain dryness that coats the mouth but there are very few weaknesses here. Bierdimpfe (640) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 21, 2016
Veiled dark amber, almost copper color, with subtle activity. Creamy light brown 2 finger head, lasting around 10 minutes, with good legs.
Stout like aromas of biscuity caramel and roasted nuts. Flavors of toffee, molasses, nuts, apple, black pepper, herbal spices. Smoky woody feel with a strange stale bread taste having some sweetness but overwhelming bitterness.
Medium body with prickly carbonation. Strong and long finish, ending with an highly bitter roasted and smoky nuts feel coating the tongue.
Overall I don’t like this craft being highly bitter in a harsh bad way with unpleasant unbalanced flavors and bad freshness. Doesn’t really taste like an IPA, more like a mix of cream ale and red ale. mathieuc (3990) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 19, 2015
Cask at Griendel, dryhopped with Glacier. Pours a clear copper with a medium high eggshell head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is of slight earthy hops, husk or maybe roasted malt, pine. Taste is moderately bitter, not too sweet and offets clean cereals, light caramel and earthy angles. Body is light to medium, carbonation moderate. Overall an OK IPA, I might need to try the bottle-conditioned some day since I get the feeling that it is somewhat changed by being served from a cask and dryhopped. An East Coast IPA that overdoes the malt. Big roasted malt, nuttiness and some astringent hops with a slightly metallic finish. Pretty heavy slogging. Lubiere (13911) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 3, 2015
A clear reddish copper ipa with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, light off fruity esters, strange. In mouth, a grainy caramel malt with grassy hops, light mineral notes, rather German on style, OK but not to style.

341ml bottle. Hazy copper body, small beige head with good retention. Floating sediments. Aroma of a classic British IPA: tons of caramel malt, herbs, flowers, leather, syrup. Taste pretty much the same: tons of caramel, moderate herbal bitterness, a touch of citrus zest. Slightly oily. I liked it. Flyguytruckguy (56) - Quebec, CANADA - FEB 25, 2015
After trying the Dunham Anglaise, I see that IPA’s can really vary in style, but this was even further out there. The aroma is more malty than hoppy. Moderate burnt dark bread and molasses. Light perfumey hops. Average mostly diminishing head over a dark clear amber body. Fair lacing. Moderately sweet, lightly bitter taste followed by a moderately bitter slightly sour, long lasting finish. Medium, oily palate with soft carbonation. Eh bien! radiomgb (2686) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 11, 2015
341ml bottle purchased at La Trappe a Fromage in Gatineau, Quebec. Clear amber in colour with a thin lasting off-white head, good lacing. Aroma is of light citrus, some syrup, moderate sweetness of white sugar. Flavour is lightly bitter with just a small amount of citrus hops coming through, very light sweetness and a bit thin. Bitter mouthfeel, medium/light body, moderate carbonation. Finishes mid length with a hoppy bitterness. I liked the Cascade much better then this, just not overly flavourful. eloimv (91) - - DEC 12, 2014
IPA de base qui ne propose rien de particulier en bouche mais a le mérite de commencer la soiree efficacement, mais sans histoire. HippyHop (656) - Quebec, CANADA - NOV 18, 2014
Pour is hazy amber with a bit of light tan head. Nose is all caramel and bread and fruit. Virtually nothing in the way of hops, though I suspect this bottle isn’t particularly fresh.
Taste is caramel, roasted grain and nuts, with a bitter, slightly metallic finish. Definitely not my favourite offering from these guys.
