A: The pour is a light straw color with a short lived white head that initially towers in the glass.
S: The nose is skunky, buttery, and sweet. Lots of grain and adjunct notes, along with plenty of diacetyl.
T: The amount of butter in this beer is shocking, and definitely not enjoyable. A light sulfur note and slightly sweet with grain providing most of the other "flavor".
M: The body is light and the beer is very highly carbonated.
D: This is one of those beers that should be consumed as cold and as quickly as possible. I honestly cannot recommend this beer to anyone.

Bottle from Trader Joe’s in Roseville. Brassy gold color with a frothy white head. Fairly decent aroma - but mostly grain. A bit corny as the glass approaches the lips. Near medium body with frothy carbonation. Not very much hop. Not very much point. Tmoney99 (15217) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 23, 2008
Bottle from Trader Joe’s - Cincinnati. Poured clear amber color with an average to large frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate grass hop and malt aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Light to medium sweet flavor with a light to medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Cheap and better of the two Simpler Times. 12 ounce bottle from Trader Joe’s Glen Allen, VA. Pours a clear amber with a large head. Poor retention and decent lacing. Aroma of grain, sugary notes and grassy hops. Taste is syrupy fruit notes, grain and grassy hops. Medium bodied. crossovert (14233) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 19, 2015
355ml can. Slightly hazed gold pour, fizzy fairly quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is relatively low, some floral notes and spice. Flavor is odd, phenolic, watery, not a distinct malt character, maybe saaz hops but that might be a stretch. Not a great pils.

"hoping for a little more, both Simpler Times beers were in the drinkable on a hot day catergory. nothing more, nothing less. not horrible, but not what i look for in a beer, or pilsner, regardless of price. A couple of the better macros are actually better than this." rosenbergh (12021) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 24, 2014
12 oz can. (Trader Joe’s) Greenville, SC.BVery (11491) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - DEC 9, 2011
Clear golden colour with a tiny white head.
Sweetness, apple juice, some play dough and mild hops in the aroma. Very cheap aroma. The flavour is at least as bad... Ewww... this is Easter European cheap lager... Very bad.
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Can from Trader Joe’s. Clear light gold pour with a white head. Sweet and grassy nose. Lighter palate. Taste is wheat/grain, with a sweet element, and a metallic element. Not very good. alexsdad06 (11389) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JAN 3, 2009
12 oz. bottle courtesy of Tmoney99. Pours a clear golden color with a smaller white head. The aroma is weak bready malt with some grassy and earthy hops. The flavor is a general pilsner with bready biscuity malt and mildly bittering hops. Eh... daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - NOV 5, 2009
Can. Awful. Skunky and just plain nasty. Not really any redeeming qualities.
