Nice slightly brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, caramel malts, malt candy, licorice, dark malts, chocolate, hay. Taste is slightly sweet, malt candy, dark sugar, hay, chocolate, hints of cardboard and almond essence. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.
Kuin normiportteri: "Musta olut kohtalaisella, beigellä vaahdolla. Tuoksu paahteinen, kahvinen ja hieman salmiakkinen. Varsin täyteläinen suutuntuma, hieman hiilihappoja. Maku kuivahko, paahteisen kahvinen, suklainen ja loppupuoleltaan hieman humalan katkeroittama. Toimiva portteri." Erona se, että tämä on hieman makeampi ja toisaalta asteen verran vetisempi. Lisäksi vaahdossa normiversiota enemmän suurikuplaisuutta. ThreeCats (1013) - ISRAEL - DEC 8, 2015
Black with a nice mocha head. Aroma sweet and roasty, with a strong wine/dark fruit component, maybe overripe cherry or plum. Taste roasty and full, lots of coffee and chocolate notes, less sweet than Aroma would suggest. Heavy for a porter, but quite good. Hikeg (300) - - AUG 20, 2015
Pours dark dark brown with medium light brown creamy head. Aroma is heavy malty, cookie, dark chocolate, roasted malts, mämmi, medium hoppy, spruce. Heavy yeast aroma with notes of dough, basement, leather. Flavour is medium sweet, medium hoppy. Lacks after a great aroma. Body is medium, palate is oily, carbonation is soft. Black body, with a big, dense, creamy, dark beige head.
Aroma of dark chocolate, liquorice, nuts, dried and dark fruits.
Satisfying, smooth taste of chocolate, cocoa powder, coffee, liquorice, slight ash, dark fruits.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes roasty, a bit dry, a bit sweet, with dark chocolate, dry cocoa, some liquorice.
Tasty. Smooth and strong at the same time, with a great balance. Enjoyable dark chocolate and cocoa notes. I didn’t have many Baltic Porters before, but this is my favourite so far.
bottle kindly shared by Saeglopur, many thanks Thomas. black color, small dark coffee-colored head. smells caramel, coffee roast, lightly smoked, bitter chocolate. quite nice smell. full body, light carbonation, slick oily mouthfeel. taste of malty roastiness, coffee, light ash, some dried fruits, some chocolate. light roasty bitter / ashy finish. quite nice, looses a bit on the taste, taste and mouthfeel are a bit light, especially considering the ABV. overall nice though.
