2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
I might have enjoyed this more than some of the other reviewers. Thing is, I’ve never come across a similar beer. Never seen anything like it produced by a British brewer, so that’s a note of advice. I assume it is a Vienna style or a Munich style beer.
Aroma is terrible, smells of rust and metal. Very off putting. Colour is ok, it is beyond amber and meddling in the middle brown. Flavour is interesting. It is crisp as a lager, but with plenty of malt and caramel. The caramel is maybe more pronounced by the fact that the beer tastes somewhat ’light’ in the malt section, so the caramel flavour sort of is more obvious. I think of it as a pint of a bitter that has been lagered instead of top fermented. It is fairly average at that (there are nicer, more full bodied and flavourful milds) but at least it is something new for me. Interesting to see better examples of the style (nicer aroma, some hop character welcome).
Looks about mahagony brown. Small head appears for a brief moment. Pretty hoppy taste and not overly sweet as I expected. Caramel malts and bready notes. Hey not bad at all. rostetti (385) - Oulu, FINLAND - JAN 2, 2017
Pours dark amber with high white head. Surprisingly dark. Aroma has some sweet malts. Taste also has sweet malt, some bread and toast. Watery. Doesn’t taste like Christmas at all, but isn’t that bad either. thellgren (1109) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 28, 2016
0.33 l bottle from K-Citymarket Ruoholahti, Helsinki. Appearance is dark brown/amber, clear, some head. Looks promising. Aroma has dark malts. Taste has some malts, water, some faint sweetness, mainly carbonation. At least this III version is a bit too light. Hermod (8193) - Vantaa, FINLAND - NOV 25, 2016
33cl bottle, thanks Adam!
Poured brown color with a thin white head.
Bready malts, some earthy notes.

Pours dark brown and clear. Aroma has metallic in the roastiness. Palate is on the lighter side with medium carbonation. Flavours also has metal in and some caramell and bitterness. A cheap christmas beer. It’swhat you get for 1.50€.

Look; offwhite head, clear bronze body.
Aroma; malts, plums.
Taste; malts, plums, prunes - leading to a soft short finish.
Normal on palate.
According to the absence of yule spices, the real Yule Nisse Santa Claus is still norwegian!

A reddish brown beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has sweet maltyness, hint of bread and grass. After a good appearance the aroma was a disappointment. Taste has maltyness and bread, sweetness of syrup, even some roastiness. Taste is better than aroma. Quite light bodied but still nice to drink. Not hooray shouts for this beer. Smell of malt, some caramel. Dark copper colour, beige head. Aroma of malt, metal, rubber, some burnt sugar. Medium sweet. Flat carbon. Nurmis (776) - Oulu, FINLAND - DEC 21, 2015
0,33 bottle. Sweet malty taste with bit of syrup. Light body, easy to drink. Basic casual beer, nothing special.
