Koff IV B is The Strong KOFF. The same enjoyable taste as in KOFF’s other beers but featuring a higher alcohol content and original gravity. Strong, bold and good tasting.

33 cl can @ sun deck, Viking Mariella. Rated on 03.07.2009
Finally – the last missing beer style!
Aroma is stale with malty notes, some alcohol and starchy feeling. Flavour is rather malty with starchy notes, lots of alcohol and hints of toffee. Alcohol notes get stronger and stronger towards the end of the mug. Hopefully this was also my last malt liquor tick.

330ml can. Pretty much a IV A with more alcohol in it, which really doesn’t improve anything.

Pours golden color with a small head. Aroma of grain, starch, some malts and metallic notes. Flavor of grain, starch, metal and grass.

Vaguely sour malt aroma with a touch of alcohol. Taste is tart, grainy and rough malt with a clear touch of alcohol. Yikes!

Gr0ve (2177) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 22, 2011
330 ml can. Golden and crystal clear. Medium-sized white fluffy head that clings to the glass. Floral hops aroma. Sweetish malty flavours balanced by a sharp hop bitterness. Clean, but slightly oxidized notes (can is a six months past bbd). Crisp flavours with a nice mellow carbonation. Decent, and quite drinkable even though one can notice the alcohol.

Clear light medium yellow color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting - diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, grain, toasted, molasses, sugar. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to light light moderate bitter with a average duration, dry. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20100409]
