Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 20, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 14, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Very black, not much light shines through this in the glass. Light brown very creamy head leaving laces on the glass. Pronounced burned, dry bitterness - probably not only from the hops but also from the black malts. A very solid Porter. 150405

Bottle from rosenbergh, many thanks!

Leighton (22836) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 25, 2010
Bottle at Dempsey’s. Pours like motor oil, shiny and black, with a sizeable, firm beige head. Lots of roasted malts and dark chocolate in the aroma. Flavor was somewhat sweet, but the bitter chocolate, almost like baking cocoa, held things in check. Full bodied, chewy, with fine, soft carbonation. Lingering roasty dryness. Excellent.

Bottle from Systembolaget Hansa, Malmö. Black with a big and lasting brown head. Aroma is dry, roasted malt, licorice and minor notes of rye bread. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and roasted rather bitter finish. 150414

Weiterhin angenehm cremig. Köbes, noch eins! Test vom 4.2.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,12,11,14,8,12 - 11,75

fiulijn (21516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 23, 2004
Dark brown color; big, creamy head. Aroma of malt, yoghourt, sweet. Good body strength, a bit oily, roasted malts, light liquorice, light paperboard. Bitterness given most of all by the roasted malt.

Bottle shared by a Finnish guy at Borefts ’13, didn’t catch your name - but big thanks, 28/09/13. Mid black with no head. Nose is roast malt, earthy, dark toffee. Taste comprises cocoa powder, toffee, dark roast malt, earthy, light brown sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweet finish with roasty tones. Average affair.

12 oz. bottle, pours black with a medium tan / light brown head. Aroma brings out roasted malt upfront, followed by cocoa powder and a little chalky notes. Flavour is robust, with dry cocoa powder, toasted malt, and a little coal. Robust and smooth on the palate. Lots of depth. A pleasure to drink. Excellent.

Bottle. Huge head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, licorice and hops. Dry finish.

harrisoni (19559) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 8, 2012
Bottle thanks to Rune and Finn. Drunk at home whilst watching jokes about camels. Totally black beer with thick tan head. It’s a thickish beer. Some molasses some liquorice. I prefer a more coffee and chocolate porter. It’s thick and quite tickley dry malty on the finish. Some dryness. It’s a tasty thick porter. Wow. it’s really intense.
