Bottle shared at a tasting at avrashi?s place. Thanks oh6gdx for this bottle. Black with a light brown head. Nice roasty aroma with light smokiness, slightly meaty, some dark chocolate and cocoa. Keg on tap at The Poshoorn, Maastricht. Black with tan head. This beer seemed to be the guest beer in several Maastricht pubs on the day, a great find. Full of heavily roasted malt giving strong coffee notes with chocolate malt bitterness, in fact intensely bitter. On the beer warming up a slight tartness developed giving further depth. Yum. Same batch as Capflu, best before June 27, 2003, but bought in Indianapolis. Deep dark beer with perfect thick intimidating moka head. Light chocolate aroma with some fruitiness, and demara sugar. Chocolate malt like malted balls, with coffee finish. Caramle squares is a good descriptive Todd! Not exactly oily but does fill your tastebuds! Yummy. Bottle at Villi Waino, Helsinki. Pours black with dark head. Sweet with chocolate and slightly burnt coffee flavors. A good beer, but I think there are better Finnish porters than this.
