Can 500ml.

Clear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, caramel, malt extract. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, cardboard. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120506]

Canned. Deep amber colour with small off-white head. Aroma is mild ashes, some slight vegetables, roasted malts and thats about it. Flavour is vegetably, mild toasted notes along with some mild ashes. Thin and not too exciting.

Can at a ChrisO tasting - London. Pours clear, amber-ruby with a fine, filmy white head. Toasty dough malts in the aroma. Light to medium sweet flavor, doughy toast, slight leafy bitterness. Somewhat bland. Light bodied with average carbonation. Crisp finish with very faint caramel and toast. Yeah, pretty bland overall, but not offensive.

Can 500ml (K-Isolinna, BB 12/2012)
Dark brown color, small beige head. Light sweetish-caramel aroma. LIght body and palate. Light dark bread flavor. Slightly ashy. Very empty and useless beer. This is "nothing".

500ml can (K Kamppi, Helsinki)
Smells like a pale lager. Looks pretty OK in colour, a nice dark red, but theres very little head which is a shame, as dark beers need a bit of a head to look good, otherwise they look like fruit juice or suchlike. Taste pretty bland, like a pale lager again. Just a subtle nod towards some richer roasted grains, at the back of the tongue as you swallow. Finish leaves me with pretty much nothing. Basically a clean pale lager with a touch of roast, and a dark colour. Next!

Can from Tbone, thanks! Dark brown color. Toffee and cola in the aroma. Caramel and bitter nuts in the cola-like flavor. Hints of metal. Not my taste.

Rune (12071) - Troms, NORWAY - FEB 26, 2012
500ml can, beer gift from Finn. Diminishing, off-white head over a clear, dark brown body. Vague smell of dark malts. Momentary taste of diluted, half-sour, dark malts. Lively carbonated. Little to write home about. About drinkable (Troms, 26.02.2012).

500 ml can. Finland.
Dark reddish brown colour with tiny off-white head. Mild malty and sweet aroma with tiny hints of diacetyl (?). Unpleasant musty malty flavour with something sweet. Quite awful. Bring us back the original Musta Hevonen.

50 cl can.
Pours dark reddish colou with small head. Aroma of grass, sweetish malts, mild pine and wheat notes and distant caramel. Flavour of dry hay, sweet malts and mild fruity notes. Quite easy to drink and straightforward.

lusikka (7793) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 6, 2012
500 ml can. BBE 19.12.2012.
Pours a dark brown colour with a white frothy head. Aroma of toasted malts and some wood-like notes with weak tar. Flavour of toasted malts, sweet caramel, hay and some nuts. Light bodied, thin mouthfeel and a light malty finish. Good drinkability.
