This is a nice, tasty lager with a strong and somewhat unusual taste. Its gold with a big white head that lasts but leaves no real lacing. The aroma is grain, sweet malt flowery hops, pine needles. It smells basically like a lager but stronger, more flowery, with a different element that is nice but hard to pin down. The taste is similar and strong and persistent, with definite alcoholic warmth, floweriness, and a bitterness in the finish. To me it resembles a more refined, toned-down Rainier Ale (which I actually like).

Pale golden with nice head. Aroma is malty of mild caramel and bread. Flavour is sweet. Body is thin and finish abruptly. Ok balanced.

Bottle. Have had it tons of times, just never rated it as my notepad is often left at home when I go out for dinner, which is the only time I have this beer. This one was left by a guest at a recent party, so it was a perfect opportunity. As the cap is popped, skunky aromas flood out like crazy. Pours a light, clear yellow with a decent but very short lived white head. Aroma is skunky as mentioned, with some odd, almost artificial vanilla like notes, some medicinal notes, and sweet, sugary malts. Decent bitterness on the tongue, quite refreshing, but leaves a sweet, papery aftertaste. Thin bodied, fizzy carb. Ok I guess.

33cl bottle at home. Appearance: golden with medium white head. Sweet malts and bread in nose. Taste is medium sweet, slight bitterness with notes of sweet malts and something metallic. Palate: light bodied, thin texture and medium carbonation.

Stale aroma. Clear yellow colour with excellent head. Mild flavours but staleness overwhelmes. Medium body and carbonation.

Definately one of the better Asian pilsners. Singha has a bit more hop flavor than most and goes quite nicely with its native cuisine

Poured a light golden color with about a finger of head. The nose was sweet and malty with some grassiness. The taste was malty at first with a touch of corn and rice sweetness; a little adjuncty. The the finish was dry and had a bitter root hoppiness. Just an average lager.

This is not a bad beer. I wouldn't say go out and buy it today, but it's not a bad beer, especially since it's from Thailand. With an aroma reminiscent of Ayinger Brau-Weisse and a light taste (not meaning that it's bad--it graces your tastebuds with a refreshing tenderness). Easy on the palate, but a quickly dissipating head. Go for it if you're in the mood for a good beer from our Eastern friends.
