Considering not only that were the first operating micro-brewey in Queens since Prohibition, but that our address also signifies the year Prohibition ended, what else could we call our flagship Lagrrr?

Little takeaway pint jar from Beer Street in Brooklyn. Great store, by the way. Looks like a lager. Medium clear gold with a modest white head. Nose of grain, paper, some lightly lemony notes, German hops and yeast. Not a bad lager.

Tap at the source. Pours pale yellow, white head. Aroma is wheat, lemon, crisp feeling. Flavor is lemon, crisp lager, bitter lemon rind, soft but dry. Ok. Its a pilsner. A good one, but not for me.

Very tasty and enjoyable beer and my only knock is the hazy, IPA like color. It just flies in the face of what a lager is. The haze is probably from dry hops so I don't worry about it too much because the beer is good to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught at Lord Hobo, 9/1/15.
Ok, now Im REALLY getting weirded out. This is beer number two of theirs Ive had and just like the first, Im pretty blown away. Then, I look on the site and it has all mediocre to poor reviews! Granted, this one is a pilsner, so its gotta deal with all of the "I have no palate and can only taste big flavors" crowd, but still, there are a lot of people whose reviews I generally respect panning it. Whatever the case, it pours a nicely carbonated pale golden. White head atop slowly recedes to a ring.
The hops dont really come through all that strong in the nose, nor, really, does much of anything. Extremely clean, no yeast impressions, with light herbal notes, some definite grassiness and grainy/bready pale malts. No alcohol or flaws.
Fantastically hoppy in the mouth. Definitely brings to mind visions of some of the best pilsners out there, though perhaps lacking in complexity of hop flavors and has just a touch too much acidity building up on the palate, fatiguing it slightly by the end of a pint. Otherwise, crisp as all get out, perfectly attenuated, dry and yet not thin. Herbal/grassy hop notes are enjoyable as is the light cracker/bread malt flavors. Very, very clean, as well.

On draft, pours pale yellow with half inch of bright white foam. Mild grain, grass and dishrag nose. Corn flavor with some malt and citrus notes. Pretty pedestrian pilsener.

Tap at the brewery . Pours clear blonde . Smell is malty , rather sharp . Light on the bitter side . Taste is fresh , bitter , grassy . Bit hops , some lager aspects . Not overly hopped as is the trent , but more like a traditionnal lager, which has been brewed rediculously well .
