On tap at Social 37. Pours a cloudy straw yellow with a small foamy white head. Aroma/taste of ripe citrus and tropical fruit, grass, sweet bready malts, citrus pith, lemon skins, and baby aspirin. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - MAY 13, 2017
More of these damn session IPA’s (this is where I wanna yell at some kid saying "Get off my lawn!" with this style). Lo well.
Fine, okay, so this was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt amber color with a thin white foamy head. Sly trickling lace.
The aroma had some pine and grassy bitter hops beating at sly portions of a sweet apricot to peach-like sweetness.
The flavor was moderately sweet with a decent blend of malts to hops. Aftertaste was fairly nice with the same sort of ratio; lenient to the malts. Finish was brisk and slightly sweet.
The palate was light bodied with a good sessionability as I know it’s supposed to, duh? Carbonation felt fine. And the ABV felt fine.
Overall, it’s good for what it is as Singlecut wanted it to be. So this is where I say: "Get off my lawn" with this style - besides, it’s the time of the year I need to mow! Also, with that in mind, if any of you brewers out there need any freshly cut grass for your "session IPA’s" let me know, I’ll send it to you. Poured from bottle dated 2/21 #1064 murky grapefruit juice with a white head. Aromas of grapefruit citrus pith resinous pine. Taste is nothing like aroma and is dominated by bitter pine and grapefruit pith. It’s not bad but not their best. Handypaul (550) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - DEC 16, 2016
Bottle. Pours very cloudy amber with a creamy, white, somewhat-lasting head that leaves some lacing. Big aroma of sweet fruit and juicy citrus. Unfortunately none of that is found in the flavor. Taste is medium to heavy bitter, light body, average carbo, sticky mouthfeel, and a long medium-bitter finish. Bitterness dominates, not balanced. evergreen0199 (3320) - Northwood, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 6, 2016
