Cocoa and coffee grounds nose. Flavor is same plus some bread crust, raisin, brownie. SG111 (1824) - New York, USA - AUG 9, 2014
On tap at bierkraft, the coffee infused version. Pours a pitch black with a tan head. Aroma is not very distinct. Unimpressive. Mild coffee notes. Very intense maltiness and coffee notes. Biggest fault in this beer is the mouthfeel. Not that effervescent or creamy. curepute (141) - New York, USA - JAN 7, 2014
Nitro at Chipshop. Dark with nitro head. Complex malts on the nose, toasted being the most obvious. Smooth flavors, mellow burnt malts, hints of booze and finishes with a hop bitterness. The nitro make this, great. Lubiere (13915) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 14, 2013
A deep dark Schwartzbier with a thick creamy brown head. In aroma, bitter chocolate with coffee grind, nice. In mouth, a light bitter chocolate with coffee grind, lightly peaty, silky mouth feel, nice. On tap at Rattle N Hum.

Nitro pour at Rattle. Pours deep brown with a beige head. Lightly roasted malts, hints of dark chocolate, and light sweetness. Smooth mouthfeel. Pretty good. MaxxDaddy (415) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - AUG 24, 2013
@ Singlecut. Pours dark brown with off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts and nuts. Very reminiscent of a typical brown ale. Taste brings much more roast, some astringency and some tang from the carbonation. Spritzy on the palate. Finishes roasty and bitter. I consider this to be a different beast than the schwarzbiers I’ve had in the past. I liken it more to a brown lager or something. Interesting to be sure. Draft at the black rabbit. Deep dark stout taste with a nice easy smooth taste. Pretty decent

Draft at Draught 55. Pours very pretty dark brown with pillowy head. Nose is subtle cocoa. Tastes of coffee, chocolate, pine, earth, light smoke, some hop bitterness, and leather. Palate is thin and watery. To me this is close to be delightful just misses Slipstream (2626) - USA - MAR 29, 2013
Draft at City Swiggers. Bready aroma. Flavor of yeasty bread. Robust and tasty for a lager.
