Draft @ Rattle ’N’ Hum, New York. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty earthy hoppy caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with earthy hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel hoppy earthy finish.

Leighton (21874) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 14, 2014
Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours clear amber-brown (mahogany!!!) with a creamy, white. Nice bready malt nose, some pine, caramel. Light to medium sweet flavor with toasted pine, wholegrain bread, some ripe orange. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced on the finish, some bitter orange rind, toasted pine, brown bread. Good stuff.

3.2
Dogbrick (13389) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 10, 2014
On draught at Fette Sau. Clear amber color with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of grainy malt and hops. Medium body with flavors of bready malt, piney hops and slight fruit. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Sammy (12496) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 14, 2013
Enjoyed on tap at Brouwerij Lane and another introduction to a new local brewery. Pacific Northwest hopped. A light reddish body, with a little head and lace. Big carbonation. Getting yeast and hops, also a little funky. Drinkable, not what I would expect from the style, still for me drinkable.

3.5
KyotoLefty (10531) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 10, 2016
Tap at Lost Borough. Brown-amber, hazy, with a low head. Citrus hop nose, piny resins, caramel. Malty flavor of caramel and chocolate, bread. Nicely hopped. A good American hoppy brown, I would guess, with a peppery, prickly finish.

3.2
blipp (9502) - La Mesa, California, USA - MAR 9, 2013
Growler. Pours deep amber with an off white head. Light sweet malts, a hint of toast, medium bitterness, and flowery and citric notes. Good, not great.

kraddel (8615) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - FEB 3, 2015
Tap. Pours clear amber. Small white head. Smell is hoppy. Taste is bitter, sharp malty back. Amber malts are clear. More like an ipa to me rhan a amber ale.

jredmond (8445) - New York, New York, USA - JAN 24, 2013
UPDATED: MAY 8, 2016 Draft at UES Pony with puzzl. Pours a deep amber brown with white lacing. Aroma is straight weed and dank herbal hop. Lots of nelson. Medium bodied, almost creamy with a soft, muted hop profile. Still, such a strange beer - sticky hops and sweet caramel malts.

3.3
vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - MAR 15, 2015
Draft. Ambrr pour with a little head. Aromas has some fruit, herbal hop aromas. Herbal flavors and a good amount of malt presence. Too hoppy for the bartender here, not hoppy enough for me.

mansquito (6706) - Nueva York, New York, USA - FEB 15, 2013
Anchored Inn, Brooklyn tap ($7): Pours mahogany color (hehe) with an off-white head. Aroma is earthy hops and caramel malts. This seemed like a hoppy, earthy brown ale to me at first. It was drinkable. Somewhat interesting aftertaste, but ultimately, this was not a memorable beer .
