500 ml bottle from Urban Barley in New York City. Deep copper color. Rocky tan head. Earthy, toasted malt nose. Caramel, bread and herbal hops. Interesting meld of nutty, toasted malt and herbal, piney hops. Tasty, and a bit of a departure for Singlecut.

Pours a half finger high, beige, bubbly head. It’s clear with a dark amber cola look. Lots of thick frothy lace. Spruce and grass notes on top a caramel sugar base with some berry hints like blueberry skin and teaberry. More hoppy than malty. Medium body with a creamy carbonation and some resin feel. Taste is not hitting quite as nice as nose, but very good for style! Spruce, resin, grass, some fruity notes, but more resin on the back end overcomes the fruity note. Definitely some malt base, but accurate to style. One of the better red ipas I’ve had in a long time and amongst the top in style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Grain and cereal malts, dark rye bread, pine, grass. Clear amber, medium, creamy, off-white head. Medium bitter. More dark grain and bread malts, bitterness intensifies, pine, grass, soft to medium carbonation, medium bodied. Alright Amber, nothing too special, a touch too bitter for my taste. Keg at Rattle’n’Hum, Manhattan.

Tap at Lost Borough. Brown-amber, hazy, with a low head. Citrus hop nose, piny resins, caramel. Malty flavor of caramel and chocolate, bread. Nicely hopped. A good American hoppy brown, I would guess, with a peppery, prickly finish.

Nice looking, malty nose, then after that it is an IPA all the way. Not quite what I was hoping for but good.

Draught, smallish head, clear burgundy red color, herbal citrus aroma with some grains, yeasty vanila flavor, medium strong flowery bitterness and some fruitiness creeping in the back. Pleasant IPA.
