3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Drought. Red amber color, creamy small beige head, alcohol aroma with a slightly bitter taste, average carbonation, long finish. The alcohol taste is probably due to rum barrels. Interesting beer.
@ Singlecut. Cloudy red/brown with khaki head. Aroma is definitely rum-forward. Don’t get much more beyond that. Taste follows suit. Super boozy feeling in spite of being only 7.3%. Super malty but not necessarily cloying. Decent mouthfeel with a boozy, carbonic finish. Really not too much going on here unfortunately. TBone (18568) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 17, 2013
Tap (nitro keg) @Bronx AleHouse, Bronx, NYj12601 (13304) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - APR 21, 2013
Deep rüby color, good creamy off-white head. Light sweet malty aroma. Mediüm-bodied. A bit früity maltyness. Alcoholic with a good rüm dominating the flavor. Light wood in the aftertaste. Rüm bomb.
On tap at 307 with everyone after the tasting at Matt’s. Pours a clear amber with ruby highlights and a medium sized white beige head. Soft toffee light malt and sweet toffee. Lingering bitterness with a touch of sweet malt. jtclockwork (17654) - , New Jersey, USA - APR 20, 2013
Draft. Pours dark reddish amber. White head. Nose and taste of red licorice, malt, rum and mixed dried fruit. Medium body. puzzl (3264) - New York, New York, USA - APR 20, 2013
Tap at 307. I see now why the other rates for this are so short: it tastes like nothing but rum. Rum aroma, rum flavor, rum finish. Creamy, I guess, from the nitro pour. Dull.

Draught from alewife. Brownish reddish pour with substantial white head. Creamy boozy with some maltiness.
