2017-10-20. Hazy orange body, moderate frothy head. 3+ Aroma has odd green muddled hop character. Muted fruit, odd tropical notes. Flavour is fairly bitter, citrus and rind, green hops. Muddled but mostly pleasant. Average plus bodied palate, carbonation. Ok but disappointing at first - Grows on me though as it goes. 7/4/7/3/15 DDH version at Cask Days 2017, Toronto. Juicy mango tropical hop aroma. Taste adds in some piney bitter hops. Full flavored nice beer but piney beats out the tropical. Good overall. solidfunk (9407) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - SEP 28, 2017

Draught at Buk’s Boston, 5/15/17.
Heavily hazy, approaching cloudy, though I wouldn’t call it soupy. Brassy-lime-golden, quite pale overall, with a small but firm white head.
Juicy, of course, but like the base beer, it’s cut with a higher proportion of citrus than a typical NE IPA, showing lots of strong, white grapefruit in addition to the kiwi-mango-key lime juiciness of a traditional NE IPA. This stuff is phenomenally fresh and full of dank, spicy, citric and tropical hops of all sorts with long melon and grapefruit joined by spicy pineapple on the finish. Cracker and biscuit lie underneath contributing a touch of blandness (or is that a bit doughy yeast) but there is little resin, no alcohol and no flaw here otherwise.
Soft and juicy, nicely dry and with a bit more bitterness than a typical soft, juicy, mildly sweet NE IPA has. And that’s totally fine, while I love my soft, extremely low bitterness juice bombs, this thing incorporates the citrus very nicely helping cut through the biscuit and cracker character as well as provide tons of crispness and brightness on the finish. Soft, malty texture with good attenuation and a tight carbonation. No alcohol or flaw. Perhaps a touch of sourdough-like character that could either be from a bit too much yeast or (more likely) hop resin. Nonetheless, this is excellently-produced beer and quite polished for the style.
