Hazy dark amber, lots of small floaties. Steady, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, caramelly, some notes of red berries, Belgian sugar, some mild plums. High, lively carbonation, light and mild dry palate. Flavour is sweet, toasted caramel, a soft note of oxidation (not over date), mild warming, some fruity notes. A mild dryness in the finish. Not spectacular.

Hazy dark amber. Chicory and a little caramel smell, fast off-head, light body, small carbonation: Scottish roasted barley on palate, but also very light:: Short aftertaste. [email protected]
(Bottled) Muddy brown with a medium, firm head. Very grainy-malty nose with caramel and dried fruit. Flavor is also grain-accented, with slightly sweet caramely maltiness emerging quickly towards the neutral-dry, malty finish. Medium to full body, soft CO2. A quite pleasant and balanced Scottish ale with a Belgian-yeasty twist. 5346 yespr (46530) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAY 31, 2011
