Hazy hay colour wit nice head. Aroma is hay, fruity, spicy. Taste is fruity, light spicy, very light sweetness. Highly refreshing. dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - MAR 16, 2010
Clear amber orange pour, large off white head, thick lacing. Aroma of fruits, flowery hops, spices and yeast. Very pleasant. Flavour is a creamy and full: hop bitterness, fruity sweetness and yeasty fullness. Quite long lasting flavour. Somehow reminds of very good abbey quads. Unexpectedly awesome tripel. I want more of this stuff. crossovert (12934) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 15, 2011
330ml stubby abbey-style brown bottle.
It pours like and average tripel, a bit murky for the style. It is a peachy brown with a tall, foamy, white head. It is a super foamy head. It slowly recedes with a thick coating of lacing, and I mean coating.
The nose is super fruity, there is some pear, apple, white grape, and orange. The orange really seems to be the focal point. It is accented by some honey and caramel notes. The thing I love about Tripels is they always have interesting and unique scents.
The taste is a bit more subtle, but it is fantastic. The main flavor is a nice alcoholic caramel and some light fruity esters. There is a noticeable sweetness, but it isn’t overpowering or cloying, and the same goes for the alcohol.
The mouthfeel is very prickly and I have to dock the mouthfeel a little bit. But overall, solid, solid brew.

Draft at the Birch. Beautifully creamy, and almost nutty, this drinks especially easy on a brutally hot afternoon. (#4132, 6/11/2011)

Bottle during Brussels vacation. Pale amber with off-white head. Aroma fruity, malty, apricot, spice, yeast and dried fruit. Taste is malty, fruity, bread, apricots and spicy bitter notes in the finish. Surprisingly dry, very nice sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 3, 2006
UPDATED: JUL 29, 2007 (Bottled, the blond version of "Pater Van Damme", 7-4-7-4-15=3.7) Hazy golden amber with a smallish, but firm and lacy, white head. Aroma of slightly sweet, honeyish malt - with hints of grainy rye and yeasty alcohol. Pretty malty and smooth flavor with mellow lemony fruitiness, mild acidity and well-hidden alcohol. Even smoother with yeast poured in, but not that complex. Medium to full-bodied, soft-carbonated palate. Smooth, balanced and enjoyable. My best guess would be, that this is actually the Sint Canarus Tripel.
(Bottled) amber color with a very small head. Fruity, berryish aroma with nice grassy hopping in the background, and some mushroom hints. Very toffeeish, hoppy flavor with lots of fruit. Medium-bodied, quite refreshing, but not thin palate with balanced carbonation. An excellent, tasty and balanced, very fruity-berryish tripel. Even the faint cardboard hints won’t hide its excellence - quality stuff! corby112 (2804) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 12, 2011
Pours a cloudy, dark golden orange color with a frothy, two finger white head that has excellent retention, onlsy slowly fadig into a thick lasting cap. Sporadic streaks and spots
of lacing left behind.
Sweet, slightly spicy aroma with lots of estery fruit notes and bready yeast. Hints of pepper, candy sugar and coriander along with alcohol phenols, apple, pear and grape.
Medium body with soft carbonation and a nice spicy presence that lingers over the crisp, light fruit notes into a slightly dry finish. Hints of pepper and candy sugar followed by some apple and pear before finishing with slight boozy sweetness. Well balanced, flavorful and easy to put down. squidknuckle (22) - New Haven, Connecticut, USA - FEB 16, 2013
330ml bottle dated best by March 30, 2013. Pours a bit dark for a triple, but nonetheless a lovely shade of cloudy orange with a light, fringe, off-white lacing. Wonderful, enticing aroma of honeycomb, dark citrus, and creamy hops. It might be a little unfair because it has some age, but this is drinking beautifully. Soft brown spice and honeyed/candied citrus and white fruit -- BUT finishes just to the dry. Extremely palatable. Not sure what it’s like young, but this is delicious. A little like an aged Houblon? pepodbauma (2) - Schleswig-Holstein, GERMANY - JAN 10, 2016 does not count
very good triple , taste a little sweet in balance to a good hop and not to strong
