COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sint-Gummarus of Lier (born in Emblem, died ca. 714) was a Knight at the Court of Pippin of Herstal and according to the legend also the founder of the city of Lier.
He is the patron of all those who live with a fracture.
One of the miracles assigned to him is that he restored a broken tree with his belt. So not only bone fractures, but also marriage breaks, since he had a bad marriage with an evil wife himself. Gummarus builds a chapel in Lier, where today is still a church. Apart from the story of the tree that started to grow back, he let a source spring from out of the ground by using his staff on the ground. The unique source would be perfect for healings of all kind of fractures. Every year on October 11th, pilgrims visit the Sint-Gummarus Church in the city of Lier to ask and pray for the health of bad fractures and also for his help to be preserved of fractures. About Gummarus, we know nothing with certainty but what we do know is that Sint-Gummarus has inspired us to brew a delicious Triple and Double in his honour! Sint Gummarus was the first real Limburg Tripel beer ever brewed! Sint Gummarus Tripel of Brouwerij Cornelissen has a full flavor with a pleasant bitterness and a fruity flavor underlying with a final hoppy aftertaste. DETAILS BEER - strong tripel beer (blond) - high fermentation - refermentation in the bottle - 8,3% Alc. vol. Quite undrinkable tripel, wet cardboard, some yeasty notes, golden with a thin white head, medium body, medium carbonation, strange sweetness and again cardboard...terrible.

YantarCoast (1480) - Moscow, RUSSIA - AUG 13, 2017
On tap at Craft Station in Moscow. Kindly shared by vinivini. Pours clear gold with a white head. Aroma is yeast, spices, barnyard. Taste is malt, candy, fruits (peach, apricot), light bitterness. Didn't make much of an impression on me.

Tap. Clear golden ale with lush white head. The aroma is malty and yeasty. Spicy and even somewhat wild. Candy. Medium body. Rather plain taste. Solid malts, fruit, spices.

mcberko (18583) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 24, 2017
On tap at The Beer House - Vientiane, pours a clear copper with a medium off-white head. Aroma brings out light candied sugar, Belgian yeast, a touch of bubblegum and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with a very pleasant Belgian yeast character, light-moderate candied sugar, a hint of bubblegum and some biscuity malt. Nicely balanced, wth a great use of Belgian yeast. Really well-brewed. Maybe it’s because I haven’t had a good beer in a while, but this is better than the average suggests.

Bottle at Musicon. Crystal clear dark golden with small off white head. Apple juice, sweet malts, light toffee, pear juice, some apricot, a hint of grass and cardboard. Quite fruity and not typical tripel notes. Quite sweet and light bitter. Bit over medium bodied with soft carbonation. Meh.

Icedwarf (1765) - Etten-Leur, NETHERLANDS - MAR 5, 2017
Helder lichtbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is wat vlak, waterig, licht zoet en ietwat kruidig met iets van honing en vanille. Heb wel eens een betere tripel gehad.
