(as Sint Servattumus Slaege Bok) 330 ml bottle at Cafe Caspar, Arnhem. Poured into a tulip, ABV 7% Dark brown colour on the body, a bit hazy, big tan head, a bit thin, with average retention. Leaving minimal lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel, red fruits, light bubblegum. Taste is fruity, light roasted malts, wheat, something I cant put my finger on exactly but good. Medium thin body, lively carbonation. Overall quite good, pleasantly surprised by this.

Draught @ Oirschots Bierfestival. Hazy orange color, medium sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, sweetish, lightly raisins, a hint of overripe fruits. Hmm doesnt strike me as a bok. Dont really like it either. Meh.

ShivanDragon (3664) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - FEB 25, 2014

33cl Bottle from Kasteel Slangenburg, Doetinchem. Dark red-brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of forest fruits, berry tartness, some spelt tartness, some roasted malts. Flavour is light-sweet, dark malts, berries, dark fruits, raspberry, hint of roast, some lemony tartness from the spelt grain I guess. Medium-bodied. Nice.

75cl bottle @ BBF ’08. Hazy reddish orange colour, looks like Roosvicee, thin head. Aroma of spelt sweetness, red fruits and some sourness, a bit like vomit (not nice). Flavour is sweet, red fruits, sugar, spelt, a little sour. Better than the aroma. Different, but not outstanding, and nothing like a bock.
