Bottle. Nose is rich coco, vanilla, faint hint of smoke, cream. Taste is gently smokey, lots of cream, very soft coco, vanilla, and a smokey faintly herbal, licorice, light hop and smoke finish. Further sips give a boiled lemon sweet effect, in the mid palate, perhaps lemon grass tea, which I guess is the wood?
Rich and delicious and beautifully balanced. Niko100 (2978) - Chicago, New York, USA - MAR 23, 2016

Bottle. Pours jet black with thin brown head and medium carbonation. Full aroma of wood smoke, lemon, chocolate. Massive flavours of smoke, sweet chocolate, lemon, coffee, fizzy sherbet, earth and a gentle bitter finish. Sublimely smooth palate. Taste is maybe a bit too full on, one is enough. But an outstanding stout all the same.popery (2170) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAR 16, 2016

Black beer with a hint of brown at the edges. Fairly dark head. Aroma is big on chocolate with medium lactose. Nice milk chocolate character to the beer. Solid hit of roast. The taste is fairly sweet. Even more roast than in the aroma. Nice milk chocolate flavor that goes well with that silky lactose feel. Some bitterness in the finish. I don’t really know what the cypress is supposed to taste like, but it seems subtle. Very smooth feel, a touch of oil. Dries out some in the finish. Lots of flavor. Solid stout. Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate, wood and fruit aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout brew. nickd717 (4822) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAR 14, 2016
Got that tick at Tap House Munich. I saw they also have a Jerk Edition, but I’m a nice guy so I got the regular one. Roasty AF aroma yet floral, woody, chocolatey. The flavor kills it. Dry, ashy charcoal roast, bitter chocolate, even a touch of milky sweetness. The sweet/bitter balance is spot on. Amazeballz feel. Slick, smooth, yet dry as you old wrinkly mother and not too thick (or as Germans would say, "dick"). Other stouts should emulate this feel. I liked this a lot. 11.2oz bottle, thanks to alexsdad06 for sharing. Very dark brown color. Ring of brown head, decent bits of lace, a film on the glass. I get some raspberry from this, interestingly. Dark chocolate. Bit of creme. Medium to bigger body. Kind of chewy, lighter carbonation. Mild slick texture. Good creamy feel. Moderate bitter, moderate to bigger sweet. Kind of fruity, but tasty stuff. Interesting.
