Bottled; Occasional.

Our flagship IPA brimming with Aussie hops.
We have taken the base of our regular IPA Sound wave, and carefully chosen an Australian hop to replace each US hop used. Ella, Summer, Galaxy & Vic Secret all sing to a different tune and the effect is stunning, producing a very different beer. Sound Wave Aussie is more citrus than tropical fruit and has a more pronounced resinous finish. a more bitter tribute to our friends down under and their sporting success in the UK this year.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of petroleum, malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of petroleum, malt, hops, straw, and a bit of caramel, leading to a bitter finis.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy, murky pale amber with a creamy and lacing off-white head. Fresh, exotic hops in the nose. Medium body, dry crispy malts with an amazingly bitter finish. 300514

Muddy dark orange-brown; next to no head; aroma is a dense summer stew of ripe peach and red grapefruit - nice; taste is tropical fruit, mango, grapefruit; reminds me of a sherry-laced summer pudding; resinous hops; solid, sweet malty base too; big flavours but well balanced; really soft carbonation which suits it; so many of these heavily hopped modern IPAs smell wonderful but their overly aggressive bitterness drowns out any generous, subtle flavours; this, however, is how to do it.

30/IV/14 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: 30/IV/14 talk about drinking just in time (2014-450)

Pretty cloudy dark amber beer, huge creamy dense irregular yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, lots of peaches, some mango, bit of exotic fruits, bit of citrus, honey. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity start, grapefruit, citrus, honey, some alcohol, pretty bitter and hoppy, piny touch, some pineapple. Aftertaste: bitter, lots of grapefruit, exotic fruits, very bitter, hoppy. Probably even better when fresh(er), although they only put on 3 or 4 months after bottling.

33cl, as Sound Wave Aussie IPA, new exclusive English brew Anno 2013, from Geers Oostakker, complex bitter brew, heavily bitter/woody and slightly fruity/floral, balanced, cloudy, rocky head, good brew, yet expensive!

Butelka 33cl.

33cl shared by Arve_Christian - thanks! Pours hazy golden with a white head. Hoppy and fruity aroma with notes of citrus. Fairly bitter, but well balanced. Refreshing and quite nice.

Bottle into a Gouden Carolus glass. Cloudy yellow-orange with almost no head. Pleasant citrus-grapefruit aroma. Smooth, bitter, with a dry finish. Perfectly drinkable. That said it lacks complexity so is a bit of an also ran.

Very, very bitter. Love it. Taste of nettles and dandelions overpowers the citrus from the hops. Quite malty too. Generally I’m a fan of citrus - grapefruit and orange - from the hops but this is a welcome change.
