Sample thx to Mathieu87. APPEARANCE: black beer, small unstable beige head. NOSE: little sour, fruity, some wood. TASTE: little sour, fruity, hoppy, black beer? Weird aftertaste.

Tap @ Ølbaren. Black with a dark brown head. Aroma is dry, roasted malt, hard roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and roasted rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. 010514

Nocturne (2238) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 12, 2014
Tap at Ølbaren, Copenhagen. Black with a nice head + lacing. Aroma seems very hopped up with some roast struggling to get through. Tastes of blackcurrant fruit, sticky molasses. Again I get a lot of hops, and it makes me think of a black IPA at times even. Really well put together though, even if I wanted to taste a bit more of the malty side.

Tap at Siren Tap Takeover @ Mikkeller Bar, february 13th 2014. Black body, small tanned lasting head. Roasty aroma with licorice, orange, cocoa. Taste is sweet dark chocolate, coffee, tar, smoke notes. Body is medium thick, doft carbonation. Delightful light salty roasted finish, with a dry bitter coffee and licorice finish. Excellent!

Pours pitch-black, brown-ish head. Coffee and roasted malts in the aroma. Very ballanced, drinkable, almost imperial stout-ish. Worth a try

espenra (1016) - Kurland, NORWAY - MAR 16, 2014
Pitch black colour with a small light brown head. Aroma is coffee, liqorice and roasted malts. Some brown sugar. Flavor is moderately bitter. Roasted malts and coffee but also dark caramel, liqorice and vanilla. Some smokey notes. Lingering aftertaste.

migajos (327) - Warsaw, POLAND - MAR 13, 2014
Nice imperial porter. For me the highest point is an aroma. Smells like pralines or milk chocolate. Head is thick light-brown, very nice. Taste for me lacks some body. Roasted chocolaty, coffee notes. I’d prefer it more sweet rather than on a salty side. But I guess this is a difference between porter and stout.
