Bottle from Brewcraft, drank w Matt at home. Pours an opaque black-brown with a small tan creamy bubbly head. Smells of bourbon, brown sugar and maple syrup, dark chocolate, roasted spicy dark malt, biscuity, oak/wood, herbal grass jelly bitterness, light smoke/ash, warming booze. Taste is inkily bitter, heavy roasted malt sharpness, sweet and sticky, burnt brown sugar, booze. Body is big, sharp and a bit sweet and sticky, vanilla, moderate bitter dark chocolate/spicy finish. This is huge but very smooth and relatively balanced. Excellent.

Bottle from Brewcraft at home. Dark dark brown with light toffee head that’s thin but stays. Aroma is big boozy vanilla and burnt sugar with milk chocolate and dark fruit. Taste has a boozy burn throughout. Milk chocolate, dark fruit, some sharp bitterness. Rich but not syrupy. Long lasting boozy burn. Very milk chocolate (not dark chocolate), which seems less common. Quite sweet but not treacly. Very well done, and the bourbon barrel very noticeable and complementary. Would get again.

erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - JUN 22, 2017
Super black, small head but super creamy and stable. Smells like good quality chocolate, double cream, vanilla. But it’s the taste that is really full on... Wow, super dense creamy. Very sweet but worth every sip and then some. Been long drinking a beer this sticky. The 11% is almost not enough! (33cl bottle from Être Gourmet)

Soft bourbon aroma but also a hint of vanilla. Not so much head. Taste is switching from bourbon to vanilla, which is quit nice. Vanilla stays on the palate. Nice beer, worth a try

Arôme de wisky et vanille. Trop peu de mousse. Gout de wisky, vanille sucré. T’es bon stout mais un peu trop sucrée.

33cl bottle shared with friends. Dark brown with a small beige head. Full body with low carbonation. Nice sweetness with subtle bitter tones. Chocolate, bourbon, roasted malts, warming alcohol, vanilla and caramel. Very good.

Desverger (11122) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 10, 2017
[email protected] Siren TTO, Copenhagen - pours dark brown verging black with a beige covering. Sweet and only light roasted malty aroma and taste with chocolate, coffee, some honey and caramel sweetness, some vanilla and spices, resonating bourbon notes throughout and into the close.
