DroolYeast (1525) - Odder, DENMARK - AUG 2, 2017
Bottle @ grimfest. Aroma is light bourbon, roasted malts, vanilla-ish and milk chocolate. Black with tan head. Taste is somewhat boozy, slightly metallic, bourbon, moderate+ sweet. Something off about the aroma and taste. Full bodied, sticky feel, lactose roasted malt finish.

330ml bottle. Pours black with a thin tan head, disappearing more or less immediately. Aroma: chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, roast malt. Taste: chocolate, vanilla, honey, roast malt, dark fruit, caramel, sugar, bourbon, oak, lactose, very rich, sweet flavour, slight alcohol warmth. Full body, velvety smooth creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation, sticky. Drinks very well for 11%, an excellent impy stout.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great aroma of vanilla, bourbon, chocolate and coffee. Pours black with tan head. Taste is heavy sweet with lots of sugar, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, bourbon. Medium bitter finish, soft carbo, full body. Overall way oversweetened for me. It has great potential, smells amazing but in present form it is just too sweet.

Draught @ Taphouse, Copenhagen
Pours black without a head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, oak and caramel. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long vanilla, oak, chocolate and caramel finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Pours black, with low carbonation, a small brown head that faded in 1 minute, no lacing. Beautiful aroma of bourbon and milk chocolate, with strong notes of vanilla. Tastes quite sweet, sweet dark malts, not too roasty, bourbon, milk chocolate, brown sugar, vanilla. Zero bitterness, lingering flavours in the the after taste, booze very well hidden. Full bodied ale, thick feel, smooth, low carbonation, long finish. Fantastic.

Bottle from Brewcraft, drank w Matt at home. Pours an opaque black-brown with a small tan creamy bubbly head. Smells of bourbon, brown sugar and maple syrup, dark chocolate, roasted spicy dark malt, biscuity, oak/wood, herbal grass jelly bitterness, light smoke/ash, warming booze. Taste is inkily bitter, heavy roasted malt sharpness, sweet and sticky, burnt brown sugar, booze. Body is big, sharp and a bit sweet and sticky, vanilla, moderate bitter dark chocolate/spicy finish. This is huge but very smooth and relatively balanced. Excellent.

HKdIPA (819) - HONG KONG - JUN 26, 2017
Bottle from Brewcraft at home. Dark dark brown with light toffee head that’s thin but stays. Aroma is big boozy vanilla and burnt sugar with milk chocolate and dark fruit. Taste has a boozy burn throughout. Milk chocolate, dark fruit, some sharp bitterness. Rich but not syrupy. Long lasting boozy burn. Very milk chocolate (not dark chocolate), which seems less common. Quite sweet but not treacly. Very well done, and the bourbon barrel very noticeable and complementary. Would get again.
