Bottle at home. Pours dark brown. Nose is peated whisky, roast, chocolate. Taste is chocolate, peat, roast, whisky, smoke, surprisingly thin, mellow. Quite good but Islay barrels are not my favourite ones although this one has rather good balance. kerenmk (5397) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - DEC 23, 2015
Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’ place. Thanks Tom L. Black with a brown head. Coffee and phenol, ash and some olives in the nose, peaty, bitter and fun in the mouth. Too light body, smoky finish and soft carbonation. DSG (15589) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - DEC 21, 2015

Opaque black - brown beer, good tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Mellow dark malts. Mild tangy dark fruits. The whiskey is mildly peaty but pretty approachable and well integrated. Very drinkable for the a peated whiskey stout.
Draft. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, smoke, alcohol, and roasted malt, leading to a dry finish. joergen (29994) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 11, 2015

From tap. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted and dark malty and breadish, dark chocolate. Bitter, peated and tarish. Roasted. Dry and smoked finish. AshtonMcCobb (7132) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 25, 2015
Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl.
Appearance - opaque black with a nice crema head.
Nose - coffee and dark, dark chocolate, a wee hint of seaweed. Iodine for sure.
Taste - more iodine and lightly smoked toffee. Then it’s taken over by a burnt wood or lit match thing.
Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a dried and balanced finish.
Overall - good beer.
