Clear dark brown beer, creamy beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty roasted, coffee, some alcohol, mocha. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: very roasted, dry, coffee beans, bit sourish, fruity touch, bitter notes, cocoa powder. Aftertaste: bit sourish, fruity, dark chocolate, tangy, alcohol, more coffee, bit sour, hoppy, dry finish, touch of cherries.
Bottled. More or less black colour with a small beigeish brown head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is cherries, some liquorice, mild toasted and wooden notes as well as some slight ripe fruitiiness to it. Flavour is ripe fruits, cherries, quite tart wood, some liquorice and mild roasted/toasted notes. A bit on the sweeter side of things. What’s not to like in a beer like this... A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of wood, brettanomyces, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, smoke, and wood, leading to a dry roasted finish. Leighton (22790) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2016
Draft at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014 - Session 4. Pours brown with a foamy, tan head. Nice stuff, with pleasant cocoa character, burnt marshmallows. Moderately sweet, with notes of dark bread. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, with further chocolate, dark malts, impressions of dark fruits. Lovely beer.

Bottle. Dark clear maroon brown color, very slow gusher. Huge brown head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of vanilla, cherry, cocoa, coffee. Taste has smooth milk chocolate, vanilla, cherry, coffee grounds. Decent. Palme (4856) - Bergen, NORWAY - DEC 22, 2014
0.33l bottle. This is a deep and dark brown looking one with a really nice dense lacing and almost everlasting brownish top. Smells absolutely lovely. Rich deep dark cocoa with sweet milky chocolate, lots of woody vanilla and fudge like brownies. Absolutely lovely. It has a almost cloudy feeling in the mouth this. It’s not sweet or cloying at all, if anything slightly dryish but balanced as heck. There’s mineralish chocolate here, dry cocoa powder, some wood and a nice general toastiness all the way. A lovely lightdrinkable fruity stout creation I’d gladly drink again. 09.08.2014 hackobock (4073) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 26, 2014
