Bottle shared thanks to Jmgreenuk. Pours near black with a ring tan head. Aroma is taken over by woody boozy barrel notes with vanilla, whiskey, floral aspects, chocolate, roast, caramel. Flavour is light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Pretty nice but really taken over by the barrel a little too much. deanso (10055) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - OCT 15, 2014

Medium darkish brown head. Opaque black body. Roasty grainy aroma
with chocolatey mealy notes. Dry roasty chocolatey earthy taste with
grainy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish earthy
roasty coffee aftertaste with grainy mealy notes. Mild, mellow, and
drinkable. Impressively harmonic and subdued. (0.33l bottle, from
Fish & Beer, Copenhagen.) jinroh (2139) - ESTONIA - OCT 5, 2014
Had this after in early hours of October 1st, 2014. Best before on the label said September 31st - a non-existing date, but if it existed, that would have been we drunk this. Poured dark with not too lively carbonation. Aroma had some chocolate, cocoa and booze. Mild carbonation made the beer soft and smooth, also leaving the impression that the body was maybe a bit thinner than I expected. Tons of toffee, chocolate and fudge in the aftertaste. Jim Beam from a barrel is there as well but not really defining the beer for me. Nice and interesting one! prawlie (1652) - Berkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 2, 2014
Gorgeous boozy chocolate aroma. Dry and roasty, but with a touch of sweet to balance it. Its not an amazing beer, but still very pleasant, and a fine achievement from a relatively new brewery.

Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, chocolate, bourbon, caramel, sweet malt, white chocolate, milk chocolate. Body is medium to full, texture is oily and smooth, carbonation is soft.
Bottle at Craft Beer Co. Clerkenwell. Pours pitch and thick black with a thin shortlasting nutty head. Aromas of whisky, nuts, vanilla, coffee, roast and some dark chocolate. Taste is very whisky up front, dark sweet fruits, roast. Whisky stays all the way through. Slightly too much to my taste. Garrold (5519) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUL 12, 2014
Bottle from Beermoth, Manchester. Clear, cola brown. Halo of tan head. Nutty, milk chocolate. Light, roast malt. Light, ground coffee. Taste is fruity dry. Some milk chocolate sweetness. Palate is a tad thin, maybe. More of the chocolate sweetness on the finish, but mostly lingering, light bitter dryness. dogbomb (1244) - ENGLAND - JUN 29, 2014
Bottle. Dark black with almost no head to speak of until you shake the deep tan around. Nose is peaty, deep, malty, chocolatey, jim beamy, vanilla and wood. First mouthful surprised me - hit the back of my throat and I had a tiny coughing fit! Soon got that under control and went in for a second bite of the cherry. Quite a thick, slick mouthfeel with cream, nuts, alcohol, amaretto, vanilla, oats, jim beam... A sipper with bags and bags of flavour coming out in every mouthfeel. A warmth afterwards, which makes the flavour linger and last. Yummy!
