What a treasure!! Pours beautiful opaque black with average creamy off-white head. Excellent lacing. Full bodied, average maltiness with chocolate, coffee and roasted aromas. Average hops, mostly pine. Definitely interesting adds of toffee and brown sugar with hints of burnt coffee beans. Complex, revealing, sophisticated imperial stout!

Served in a snifter from a 330ml bottle. Pours very dark brown opaque colour with a medium tan head. Aroma is smoke, coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is a very combination of bread, smoke, coffee and chocolate with a nice chocolate bitter aftertaste. Medium body with soft carbonation and a slick mouthfeel. nicely balanced. Very good stout!

Chocolatey, malty aroma, followed by a lovely mellow, vaguely creamy mouthfeel. Extremely smooth overall, doesnt betray its ABV. Great appearance, rich brown with little head and no lingering bubbles. This is fantastic, my dreams remain unbroken.

Bottle at home from mchughs. The lighter sibling to the wonderful shattered dreams. This lives up to the expectation. Pours black with fluffy tan head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, vanilla, liquorice, leather, slightly sour milk. Smooth creamy sweet dry coffee flavour. Carbonation is pitched just right. Full bodied. Great sweet lower abv stout.

WaddlingPlatypus (145) - Durham, ENGLAND - FEB 19, 2016
330ml at the Head of Steam, Durham. Dark in colour with a fine caramel head. Striking aroma of bitter dark chocolate, butter, and coffee. The taste is equally Impressive: bitter black coffee and dark chocolate blend smoothly with the roasted stout undertones. There are hints of baked chocolate cake lurking under the initial taste. The aftertaste leaves the illusion of a dry palate.
