At a tasting, thanks HIppoman, smallish bubbly head, pale orange color with yellow taints, aroma of melon, guava, pomelo and passion fruit, flavor of pomelo, citrus and hints of tropical fruits, quite strong but mellow fruity sourness, light saltiness,. Immensely enjoyable and really easy to drink. DSG (15519) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - APR 13, 2016
Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks tomer. Shiny cloudy yellow. Great aroma of fruity hops, very tropical, with lacto. Dry flavor, tart, full of juicy tropical fruity and citric hops, lacto, and a salty hint. Light-bodied. Great, really quaffable and refreshing. bastarda (506) - Freiburg, GERMANY - FEB 21, 2016

; could serve as a study in hop-substitutes, or, alternatively, in autosuggestion since the intense aroma of multivitamin, Punica Oase, apple and pear compote seemed to be exactly the dryhopped-Calypso-hops-flavour-profile whereas it’s Citra and Huell Melon really. Anyway, it drinks like multivitamin juice with lactose with - surprisingly - a multivitamin aftertaste. Interesting!
33cl bb06/2016, oddly marked batch Batch G474: Huell Melon & Citra. - Shared at bastarda’s pre-BKL tasting. Invitingly superficial sweet Haribokirschen, sweet pear, Nashi pear, apple compote with buried wheat citrus. Juicier young pear in flavour, no real trace of Berliner Weisse lacto or almond wheat while the fresh dryhops steer this typically into the crafty APA teleology. Easydrinking tasty drink, deceivingl shallow BWeisse. I imagine completing the whole Calypso series will set you back a few. PMgep (297) - Lund, SWEDEN - DEC 1, 2015

Draught. Pours a clear yellow with a fading white bubbly head. Aroma of apple, citrus, melon, oranges, pine. Taste is of sour apple, lemon, orange, tart. Light watery body, medium carbonation. Hippoman (646) - Durham, ENGLAND - NOV 22, 2015
330ml Bottle from Coppers, Gosforth.
Pours golden amber with almost no head and moderate carbonation, There’s loads of orange in the nose and a slight soapiness too. The taste has big sour tartness with grapefruit and maybe crabapple. It’s not unpleasant but for me sour beers work best when there’s a real depth of flavour to be found beneath the sourness and that was not the case here. A bit of a disappointment. olsvammel (7332) - Örebro, SWEDEN - NOV 14, 2015

Keg at Beergeek. Pours hazy Yellow with a thick White head. Wonderful nose. Really bold tropical notes with the underlying wheaty sourness. Flavour has some serious fruit juice action. Hoppy with a tangy sourness. Really delicious. Best beer of the night for me. IPAholic (99) - Prague 8, CZECH REPUBLIC - OCT 17, 2015
