COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Now it’s with mixed feelings that we introduceHit The Ice. It’s a keg and cask pale ale with a hop bill to make your eyes water. It’s hazy, juicy and 100% quaffable and we can’t wait to drink it all – let it loose on the bars. But unfortunately there’s a bit of a catch. We’re very sad to be losing Sam Lee from our team in September. He’s been with us for over three years, and has become an essential part of everything we’ve done over that time. Unfortunately he’ll be leaving the industry for pastures new. He’ll be sorely missed and we all wish him the best. Hit The Ice is named after his most infamous Siren moment – a spectacular entry to the ice rink at a Christmas Party, which (spoilers) ended disastrously. Cheers Sam!

LazyPyro (1809) - Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 19, 2018
330ml bottle. Hazy orange with a small head. Aroma of citrus fruits, tropical, grapefruit. Taste is citrusy, tropical, light sweet, light malts, light grainy, low bitterness. Light bodied, smooth mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Decent session pale.

Tap at beerlovers bar. pours blonde, medium white head; Smell is rather dry, citrussy hops. Taste is similar. Sharp bitterness. Not too much aroma. Med body, med high carbo. Pretty forgetable beer, all and all.

kaserov (1108) - Oviedo, SPAIN - JAN 12, 2018

Scopey (16277) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 8, 2018
Bottle at home. It pours hazy golden with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, sweet mango, passion fruit, bit green, grassy, floral, biscuit and a touch of bubblegum. The taste is a bit more subdued, dry, crisp citrus, pithy, orange rind, passion fruit, floral, minerals, straw and a touch of tannin with a drying finish. Lighter end of medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Taste is a bit muted and doesn't live up to the aroma. Not bad nonetheless.

Pours a slightly hazy yellow to orange with thin white head, medium carbonation and a little lacing. Aroma is orange, apricot, straw, ripe mango and light malts. Taste is sweet, with a decent bitter finish for its ABV. A touch thin. Reasonable session pale ale.

330ml bottle @ Station. Pours a hazy gold, small white head. Aroma has light pithy hops. Milky oat textures, very thin hop presence, hints of citrus, orange and grapefruit, but really not shining as expected. Bit lacklustre, disappointing.

rodbod (470) - Motherwell, SCOTLAND - DEC 24, 2017
UPDATED: JAN 6, 2018 A braw pale ale, with modern hop character and a clean refreshing palate. (bottle from the Good Spirits Co Wine & Beer). Rerated 2018-01-06: cloudy pale gold, not much froth. Nose is kinda tropical - I can't say what sort of fruit, but it's very ripe and yellow and a bit spicy. Taste is dry and bitter, very refreshing: a pleasantly woody bitterness.
