One of the best amber ales around, a well rounded soft, caramel like flavors with a strong grassy finish, love it. wheresthepath (2335) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - SEP 14, 2013
Cask at the Alehouse, Reading. Pours a striking ruby-brown with a loose beige head. Beautifully rich, smooth mouthfeel with a light sparkle on the tongue. Caramel, orange and a little chocolate up front before a lot of pine and some grapefruit bring in a great fresh hoppy taste. Candied pineapple followd along behind, with a bit of peach. Happy little burps of pine and pineapple with lingering fresh hops kept me smiling until bedtime. The pub had lots of other interesting beers on but this was so good that- unusually for me- I stuck with this one. Fabulous stuff, huge thanks to the brewer. Happy days! zacgillbanks (5185) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - NOV 9, 2013
Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. This is a dark red-brown beer with chocolate and rich red fruity flavours, sarsaparilla and malty notes with a rich creamy toffee, blackcurrant and roasted finish. Superb! jackafholmes (1017) - - OCT 30, 2014
Bottle from sandinista, manc. Deep maroon, with an eggshell head. Aroma is dry caramel grapefruit. Taste is syrupy sweetness and fruity bitterness. Full bodied with some oil. Nice. Brew_Cat (138) - Athens, GREECE - SEP 6, 2015
It pours beautiful sparkling red with creamy off-white head, good lacing, very teasing aromas. Medium body, average carbonation, thick texture, heavily bitter aftertaste. Average malts, cookie, and roasted grains. Average hops, mostly pine and citrus. Tastes of allspice, nutmeg, hints of tobacco, but above all a prevailing taste of bitter almonds. Very complex, surprising and totally tasty. I loved it!

010216. I had this in a bottle that I bought at Archive Beer Boutique and what a cracker of a beer it. Pours into the glass a very deep copper red colour with a mound of light tan foam that holds it shape and stays a while. More malty than hoppy which was good. All round great ber. Bottle. Deep red with a big foamy head. Loads of pineapple, peach and grapefruit in the nose. Fruity taste with lots of caramel sweetness and metallic, grass hints. Packed with flavour, well balanced bitter finish. Palate is really smooth. Outstanding.77ships (9828) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 25, 2013

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2013 33 cl. bottle @ home split by 2. Procured from De Hopduvel in Gent. Purchased upon recommendation of BoBoChamp. Pours a reddish / Bordeaux hued wood brown with quickly gone dark tanned head. Nose is pine resin sap, cocoa & dark fruits touch sweetish brown sugar. Taste is bitter pine, bark, dark fruits, sap, faint Shiitake (in a good way, I like Shiitake), cocoa, serious dash of cocoa powder, ground-like sweeter malts, bitter bark & pine finish, sap,… Touch grainy body. Interesting blend. Nice brew. sir__v (2629) - FRANCE - APR 21, 2014
