Bottle, pours cloudy and muddy brown with fast falling white head. It starts with a big wow in the aroma which is very complex with notes of black berries, caramel, red wine, raisins, rum, vanilla and bourbon. You sniff on it and you have the feeling it took the best from all barrels it was aged in.
But than you take a sip...and the magic is gone. It’s still has some complexity with its fruitiness and caramel sweetness, but the light body makes it more decent. The positive thing is that the alcohol is almost not noticable. The_Osprey (7985) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 4, 2017
February 2017 - 375ml bottle at home watching England v France as ’Siren Maiden 2013’, 11.1%, flaky light brown wax, opens with a pop. Dark brown with a red hue, foamy light brown head. Aroma is brandy, spicy, boozy, spearmint and tequila, aniseed. Body is smooth with soft to low carbonation. Taste is smooth malts, lots of vanilla and spice, buttery vanilla, building soapy vibes and a woody boozy finish. Quite harsh. Maybe too much barrel and booze for me. Drinks like it’s stronger than it is. Not that impressed, especially having paid £13 or something for it a couple of years ago. Verrry slow drinking. Tried my best but couldn’t finish it. Big opportunity cost really - buy a bottle of port or 3 good beers instead of this! (2.8) alex_leit (4075) - Minsk, BELARUS - OCT 19, 2016

Bottle @home (Euro-vision 2016 tasting.) Pours brown with a tan head. Nose is massive, prunes, raisins, fruit cake, Christmas cake, some sweet caramel coming through some spices, really good nose. The taste has all of the above but there is also some marzipan and oak on the finish. TheJestersBeer (2430) - SWEDEN - MAY 31, 2016

Bottle at home, bottled 15/02/14. Light chestnut brown colour, beige foamy head. Nose is a bit off. Roasted malty milky coffee, resinous/orange zesty hoppy, vanilla, boozy, bitter finish; from the 4 barrels used, I get the tequila most. Medium body, low carbonation. Not too balanced, maybe aging the bottle a bit more didn?t do it well. gunnfryd (14872) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 10, 2015

Trockener, alkoholisch holziger Antrunk. Etwas bitter, leicht herb, erstaunlich wenig malzig. Auch die vorhandene Getreidigkeit ist geringer als gedacht, mittelstarke Würzigkeit. Okay. 9/9/9/9/13/9
