COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Primal Cut is a high-concept beer inspired by our Head Brewers tasting of some blackcurrant purée we sampled. He thought it would be ideal for a BBQ sauce, so we built a recipe with some smoked malt and coffee (imagine a coffee-rubbed brisket), which is all complemented by the fruity ’sauce-esque’ high notes.

33cl bottle via Etre. It pours a dark brown color with a small beige head. Aroma is rich dark fruity and smoky with notes of red berries, dark chocolate and roasted wood. Taste is medium sweet and lightly chalky oaky dry with slight sour red berries note. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, very tasty

W nosie średnio/wyraźnie intensywnie, kawa, ciemne owoce, zbożowość. Barwa ciemno brunatna, klarowne, piana pojawia się na 3 sekundy i znika. W smaku dość wytrawne, ciemne owoce, kawa, lekkie nuty ogniskowo-dymione. Przyjemne, ale jakoś mało ciała, goryczka średnia w kierunku niskiej palona. Butelka do 06.12.2017

Dark brown, small head. Smells roast, coffee, berry notes. Full body, silky texture, more roast in the taste. Solid classic imperial.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2017 Dark brown pour with small tan head. Aroma is awesome!!! Coffee, dark chocolate, dark roasted malts, and forest fruits. Taste follows with the berries giving it a nice sour kick to it. Nice medium body with similar carbonation. Fantastic beer. Siren is on my radar!!!

330 ml bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with moderate head that settles quickly. Aromas of nuts, roasted malts, and light watery smoke. Flavors follow same with additional sweet dark fruit and sweet coffee. The currents add a nice sweetness to balance the subtle smokiness. Quite nice.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2017 Opaque dark brown/black beer with heavy yeast and with a slight beige head. Medium aroma with mostly dark fruit and coffee. Taste follows with loads of sweet flavours and roast. Not a trace to be found of the smokiness however.

Bottle from the Grumpy Goat, Reading. Deep purpley-brown with a thin beige head and a moderate fizz. Smells of burnt blackberries. Tastes smokey up front, then juicy blackberries with a shot of espresso lurking beneath. Further tastes reveal chocolate and roasty malt and quite a strong savoury note - salty, unami flavours develop. It's definitely interesting - it's got a whole lot going on, and the brewer definitely seems to have achieved what they set out to do accordingly to the label blurb. However for me all the elements don't quite work together as one harmonious whole, although I don't know if this was because I was having it as a nightcap and it was just a little too savoury for that time in the evening. I still quite enjoyed it, but just possibly not quite as much as I'd hoped.

Pinball (12598) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 1, 2017
bottle from boxbeers.com clear dark brown, but nowhere near black, smooth light brown head. Awfully light looking for an imperial porter i think, but then only ratebeer has it as imperial porter. aroma is malty, nutty, faint fruity, faint rye faint peppers. Flavor is quite nice, roasted malty with fruity sour notes, and i think i also get some faint smoked ish notes too. Nutty flavors, quite british hopping, also notes of coffee.
