COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Part of a series of four unique coffee beers.
Turkish – 10% Indulgent Imperial Stout with Coffee.
Turkish is inspired by the country’s robust coffee traditionally served with a piece of rock candy. 45kg of Thai coffee beans, roasted by Reading’s Tamp Culture Coffee, are added at three different brewing intervals. The brew also includes the addition of vanilla and orange zest in the spinbot, orange zest and nutmeg in the whirlpool and an incredible 420kg of figs to the fermented beer! The result is lovely smooth spicy notes, a nice citrus sweetness and a sound body.

Pours jet black with a dark tan head. Aroma is strong, dark espresso coffee, some sweetness, biscuit. Taste is strong, dark coffee upfront, leading to a wonderful coffee, syrup sweetness, some spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, finish with a nice smooth bitterness that lingers for a short while. Some more spice, cloves coming through at the end. Lovely thick, full bodied with medium to low carbonation. Absolutely fantastic.

Pours black, creamy, with a nice brown head and some lacing. Aroma with strong coffee, oat, roasted barley, spices and some fruitiness. Tastes burnt-bitter, roasted barley and oats, coffee, dark chocolate, spices, candied fruit, vanilla, orange zest. Very complex and tasty. Full bodied, smooth, creamy, thick, soft carbonation, long bitter finish. Master piece.

Pachnie slabo, dla mnie bób, kwasny taki zapach, ale w smaku bardzo fajne, jest kawa, jest, wanilii troche, lekkie przyprawy

(330ml bottle from kihoskh.dk) Pours black with a small pale brown head. Aroma of quite earthy and fairly roasty coffee, cocoa powder, vanilla cream, sweet dark dried fruit, moderate orange/citrus vibes. Flavour is sweet, figs and orange peels are more prominent than the coffee up front, more vanilla cream, raw sugar, then earthy sweetened black coffee kicks in, some chocolate cake. Subtle spicebox appears in the back with more earthy, chocolatey brewed coffee, smooth roast. Medium bodied but somewhat oily, fairly soft carb, very little alcohol. A different coffee stout, for me it's the fruit adjuncts that really round out the flavour profile. Overall it's a nice sipper albeit a touch sweet.

extras od Bena. niezły kawowy RIS. sporo kawy, ciemnych suszonych owoców, słodów, karmelu, ale dość wytrawne i goryczkowe, ciała mogłobyć więcej.

5/IX/17 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: n/a, bottled: 8/VI/17 (2017-1475) Thanks to ElManana+1 for sharing the bottle!

Clear purple brown beer, creamy beige irregular head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots and lots of coffee, more coffee, some caramel, that's pretty much all I get. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: coffee, spicy, bit sourish, some caramel, fruity, alcohol, coffee. Aftertaste: more coffee, bitter, sourish, lots and lots of acidic coffee notes, slightly fruity.

Bottle from Brewcraft, drank at home. Pours a pitch-dark black-brown with a fizzy tan head. Smells of earthy roast coffee, moderate herbal bitterness and dark chocolate, slightly sharp acidity and fig sweetness, slightly spicy biscuit malt, booze, light baking soda and cream / marshmallow. Taste has less roasty bitterness, more caramel sticky sweetness, verylightly herbal / vegetal. Body is quite smooth, medium, acidic/sharp. Overall very smooth: quite sweet but also roasted and acidic. Coffee is smooth but, like the palate, on the more acidic / sharp side. Would like the body more if it were fuller, and on the whole could use a touch more bitterness to balance the sweetness (esp. in the taste). Big, smooth and enjoyable.
