Cask conditioned and keg unpasteurised; Regular A 5.6% west coast IPA: golden, immensely hoppy and alive with grapefruit, peach and mango flavours. Soundwave carries her drinker to the west coast, to the golden shores of California where craft ale is nectar. She is the driest of Siren’s ales – full with flavour but subtle with bitterness. Her resinous finish will pull you off balance.

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2017 Aroma of grapefruit, subtle lemon and tangerine. Juicy and refreshing mouthfeel. Pleasantly crisp and hoppy taste. Short bitter aftertaste.

Hazy straw colour, average carbonation, medium frothy head with some lacing. Aroma is mango, lemon, ale malts. Tastes sweet at first with a bitter finish, good balance, ale malts, biscuit, spices, lemon, mango, grapefruit, light yeasty funk. Light bodied, crisp and refreshing, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Nice.

330 ml bottle bought at YATA in MOKO, Mong Kok.

Looks: Translucent golden honey colour with a cloud of misty yeast particles; One finger head with crumpety white foam which lasts for 90 seconds; Excellent sticky lacing with near zero carbonation.

Aroma: Fragrant Ale malt, with mangoes, grapefruits, peaches, floral nectar, sugar, light spices, light biscuits, lemon and light grass.

Taste: Mid to light sweet fair Ale malt, with grains, wheaty tartness, grapefruits, yellow fruits, floral, fair molasses, woody spices, biscuits, strong lemon, mid to strong bitter hops and grass.

Body: Medium body. Dry, slick and creamy palate.

Mouth Feel: Good Ale maltyness in a thick and very smooth background. Grainy, with strong grapefruit hops with yellow fruits, floral and strong spices. Fair sweetness, dry biscuity with strong lemon to round. Simple and quite nice!

Hoppiness: Mangoes, grapefruits, peaches, floral nectar, light spices and lemon in nose. Grapefruits, yellow fruits, floral, woody spices, strong lemon and grass in taste; Bitterness is quite strong for a lasting, high astringent bitter-sweet grassy malty finish.

After Taste: Dry. Creamy hoppy and bitter to mouth.

Comments: Very straight forward West Coast IPA, where its aroma and taste is rather restrained compare to other wildly-hopped brews. Very competent with attractive looks and creamy palates, but a little more tropical nose with go a long way. Drinkable!

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2017 Lett tåkete lys brun med lavt offwhite skum. Lukter syltetøy. Søtlig maltig med lett brendt karamellbitter smak.

Bottle from BeerHawk. A classic west coast IPA, strong on the bitterness and sour hops, big citrus. It's a real shame this bottles sediment was on overdrive, could make a ball out of the stuff.

tricksta_p (5462) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - SEP 1, 2017
Bottle from Biernavigatie. Aroma is juicy fruity hops, citrus peel, tropical fruits, grapefruit, soft malt, mango, with some piney notes. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a fairly bitter finish. Body is medium. A classy refreshing IPA with lots of juicy citrussy and tropical hops, quality stuff.
