Cask & Bottle conditioned and keg unpasteurised; Regular
A 4.5% pale ale with spicy, grassy aromas and a taste of grapefruit and apricot. Undercurrent is part pale, part oats and part caramel barley. Her swirls of bold, bready and nutty malt whirl into a concoction of spicy, citrus, floral hops. Mystery lurks in those cascade and palisade hops. Her silky, creamy body will pull you under.

Robe ambre surmonte dune belle mousse qui tient bien. Armes agrumes et floral. Got rsineux et crales. Le rsineux reste en bouche mais le got est malheureusement court, trop court. La carbonatation est fine et aggressive. Dommage.

From tap. Pours hazy amber with a rich white foam. Aroma is floral. Pipe tobacco and citrus. Taste is light... a bit too light. It takes a couple of sips before the actual taste really appears. Taste is bitter. Citrus, a bit caramelized, grass and a little salt. Its a nice beer, but the flavours are tough to distinguish from each other.

330 ml bottle bought at ICBeer in Kwun Tong.

Looks: Cloudy hazy golden amber colour with a very thin layer of yeast sediments; One finger head and crumpety white foam which lasts for 3 minutes; Beautiful sticky lacing with active carbonation.

Aroma: Fragrant Ale malt, with peaches, apricots, grapefruits, light passion fruits, floral, light honey, sugar, spices, biscuits, yeast, lemon and strong fresh grass. Pretty mesmerizing!

Taste: Near zero sweet strong Ale malt, with grapefruits, floral, light apricots, light spices, dry biscuits, yeast, lemon, mid to strong bitter hops and grass.

Body: Mid to full body. Dry and slick palate.

Mouth Feel: Strong Ale maltyness in a solid and slick background with oat smoothness came through. Good grapefruit hops with testable apricots, floral with zero sweetness. Light spicy, biscuity with lemon to round. Very nice!

Hoppiness: Peaches, apricots, grapefruits, light passion fruits, floral, spices, lemon and fresh grass in nose. Grapefruits, floral, light apricots, light spices, lemon and grass in taste; Bitterness is close to strong for a lasting, mid-to-high astringent citrus malty finish.

After Taste: Dry. Biscuity and bitter to mouth.

Comments: This one is to-the-style and then some: very fresh grassy hops aroma with nice peaches and apricots, near zero sweet taste with distinct grapefruit bitterness and rare light apricots. Dry and smooth to the tongue, very enjoyable!

On tap at Brothers Beer. Fairly nondescript aroma with a touch of pine, maybe some peach. Flavour has more peach, a little sweet banana and white chocolate and a nice bitter finish. Nothing special.

Bottle from Die Bierothek, Frankfurt. Hazy golden body with big puffy head. Nose is hoppy, spicy, peppery. Taste is hoppy, and floral with grapefruits and oranges, and spicy too. Nice and clean, citrus in the crisp finish.

Bottle, bb 2/17. Amber with a large, loose white head. Aroma of caramelized oranges, bread, an odd woody note. Light bodied, medium high carbonation. Enough bread, just. Only a tiny bit of caramel. Lots of oranges, some peppery grass. As it gets towards the finish the citrus gets more grapefruit-like. Bitterness on the high side of moderate. Not convinced this has travelled well, but OK.

Bottle, near best before date, pours hazy orange with a huge white head. Soft gooseberries, lime, grassy hops, light bread, almond, sweet apples. None of the flavours really stand out, it all blends in very well in a very smooth oily beer with a good body. Very good!
