Hazy deep reddish brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, airy and a little dry, modest fine carbonation. Soft malts, mildly sweet and a trace cream. Light and tangy whisky soaked fruits. Mild spicy bitterness. Soft airy finish. Light and easy going barrel aged beer.

Clear reddish brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots and lots of banana, sweet, caramel, some milk chocolate, yeasty. MF: very lively carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet, banana, pretty bitter, malty, bit metallic, more banana. Aftertaste: still lots of banana, yeasty, pretty sweet, caramel, malts, some dark chocolate, soft roast, hint of that Speyside whisky, bit sourish.

Piana obfita ale mydlana, szybko opada prawie do zera. Barwa miedziano brązowa, lekko mętna. W zapachu rodzynki, miód, parkiet, whisky. W smaku półwytrawne, lekko słodkie, z kwaskowym, morelowym posmakiem, melasą, figami, przyprawami. Nieduża, ziołowa goryczka, delikatny lakier i stara beczka w aftertejsie. Średnie do wysokiego wysycenie, niezbyt gęste w odbiorze, rozgrzewające.

Kersen, rood fruit, eik, houterig, whiskey, beetje caramel. Lange, licht warmende, afdronk. Prima barrel aged bier.

Dark Belgian-style strong ale aged on Speyside barrels, in collaboration with De Ranke. Very thick, cobweb-lacing, coarse, moussy, egg-white head over a misty dark caramel bronze coloured beer with burgundy hue. Aroma of caramel sauce and butterscotch candy, rum-soaked raisins, chestnuts, dried figs, marmelade, sweet pipe tobacco somewhere, ruby port, date compote, dried banana, some woodiness and a hint of whisky. Sweet onset, dried fig and raisins with a very light sourish edge, medium carbonation, full and very supple, bit resiny mouthfeel, slick and a tad oily. Thorough caramelly malt sweet body, very butterscotch-like with a chestnutty accent, some light toasted bread in the end matching with a spicy hop bitter touch and warming, indeed (non-peaty) whisky-like alcohol, with again only a thin slice of woodiness next to it; the residual sugary sweetness, reminiscent of treacle, candied fig and even honey, lingers, but is dried somewhat by the whisky, so that everything ends clean and to the point. Very well done, cleaner than your average artisanal Belgian dubbel or quad, a pleasantly warming, sweet, filling sipper, I liked this version a bit more than the Islay one.
