I was fortunate enough to get a small glass of this direct from the cask while on an impromptu brewery tour. Thank you, generous brewer.
Nice mellow vanilla tones, and good balance of sweet and bitter. Complex and restrained hop flavor left me wondering which hops were included.
Sample @ Stone Oakquinox. Pours a hazy deep amber with a frothy off white head. Nose held some roasted malts with a nice herbal hop kick. This was very reminiscent of a Schwartz beer, pretty tasty either way. JohnnyJ (5545) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 24, 2010

Draft at the Bistro’s 1st Barrel-Aged Beer Fest 11/11/06; Nose of mild hops and oak; hazy amber with a ring of bubbles around the glass; flavor shows hops mixed with a bit of bourbon, and a nice hop finish in the medium body.
