Poured a finger of head on a hazy, medium straw colored body. Low retention on the head.
The aroma is first a little grain and then a lot of habanero/jalapeno pepper.
The taste is HOT pepper all over the place. Drinking this 22 oz bottle will be challenging.
Crisp texture, moderate carbonation and medium body.
No doubt itís a chili pepper beer. It is warm.
Pour out of bottle, hazy golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big pepper, vegetal notes into a hint of biscuit, bread, slight spicy yeast note in there but very pepper forward. Taste is a very slight biscuit, bread and then goes right into big heat, pepper, vegetal notes, slight charry notes, finishing spicy. Too much, not balanced. What a frigginí amazingly tasty beer. I love it when a brewer produces a quality beer that seems tailor made for someone with my tastebuds, and this one does it just about as good as can be. A HUGE aroma of jalapenoís, green pepper, light wheat and a touch of what seemed like brine or saltiness. Flavor had a great display of pepper flavors, ranging from jalapeno to serranoís with a heat level that Iíd put around a 8 from 1-10. This would go fantastic with some quality Mexican food. Loved every sip and will look for this again. Be forewarned however, as this is not for those that donít like spicy flavors. If itís spice you want to avoid, then avoid this. Loved it. slowrunner77 (11917) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 30, 2014
"ok...you think (or at least we did) when they say hot, itís not going to be HOT, but if you think that, youíd be wrong. This deep yellow ale smells intensely of fire roasted peppers (jalapeno, habanero, and a couple others for shits and giggles). nice aroma. the first sip, pleasant at first, getís you in the back of the mouth, then the throat, then the tummy, with itís surprising building heat. holy crap. the flavor is nice if youíre a chili-head, but the scores on other sites reflect this beerís low drinkability. a sample size and itís quite nice, and usually the GABF judges are only having samples, so itís won there more than once. but in a 22 ounce bomber, you better have some sharing going on. we split the 22, and my wife took a couple sips of mine, and it was still a chore to try and finish. definitely has itís place, and Iíll get it again at $4.50, but must be shared...preferably by 4-6 people. unique if a bit over the top, tasty but low drinkability due to the intensity." This light gold beer has a strong aroma of chilies. It has a strong flavor of chili but it completely washes out any beer flavor because it is too strong.

"Itís Hot Boy!" They werenít joking! My favorite way to drink this beer is to mix it with the Six Rivers IPA to add a spicy kick to a favorite, but it also makes a great marinade or addition to a batch of chili! Not for the faint of heart, but right up your alley if you can handle the heat!

8 nov 2013, bottle. Yellow and a bit hazy. Nose is pure heat, green peppers. It's just hear. It doesn't taste like anything but hot green chiles and it's just heat.

Just smells of a light beer which lulls you into a false sense of security. Itís HOT! Makes lips tingle, but can taste the beer beneath the burn. Bit too hot to drink a lot of. (K) coreyc1221 (319) - Truckee, California, USA - SEP 28, 2013
Has a chilio pepper and lager pine aroma.Hazy golden color with a thin white head. The spiciness rolls from the front of the tongue then hits the back of the throat Definitely spicy. A little overriding. Not bad for a spicy ale.
