Moderate floral aromas on this one. It tasted mostly like it was trying really hard to be bitter without really adding any hop flavor at all though. Pretty standard IPA.
Bottle. Very dark, reddish brown. Thick malt, full of toffee and caramel. There’s a nice surprise attack of a hoppy flourish in the end, like sneaking out the trap door in the middle of a stage. Not sure I’d label this an IPA, but it’s a good drinker. (#6317, 9/1/2016) DenverLogan (1218) - LA, California, USA - AUG 27, 2016
From a bottle into a Rodenbach Grand Cru glass. Pours translucent amber with significant head and lace. Light aroma of light grains, malt, swimming pool Significant carbonation and big creamy mouthfeel. Flavors of rich malts, minerals, straw hops, pine, fresh grains, grapefruit rind. Overall big, bold, refreshing...it’s got a nice sweet-bitter punch! donandres (527) - Bayombong, PHILIPPINES - APR 20, 2016

Bottle. Pours orange with a white head. Mild earthy hops, light bitterness, some toffee malts, and a balanced herbal hoppy finish. Not horrible, but not a great IPA. MrTipple (4968) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 13, 2014
Aroma: some metal, grass and flowers some malts. Appearance: hazy amber, small, white head. Taste: light sweets. Palate: light bitters continue, grass and flowers intensify, getting slightly dry main the finish. Overall: OK IPA, but struggles to stand out. Bottle at the Freakin’ Frog, Las Vegas.

Bottle to glass at Spread in Campbell. Pours a clear amber-orange (more amber) with an ivory head. Aroma is malty and no hop presence. Taste is full biscuit malt with minimal hop. This is a fine beer, but not really an IPA. In any event, cheers to a CA brewer for making an English IPA and not just a massive west coast citrus bomb. slowrunner77 (12044) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 27, 2014
"after the rather tasty pale ale these guys have, this one was a flat out letdown. a bit on the boring side, faded hops, too dark and too much malt. came in at the same time as the pale, but tastes old. as is, not hoppy wnough for an english."

On tap at the brewpub.
A: attractive amber-orange color; clear with a durable off-white head and patterned sticky lacing.
Aroma: herbal/earthy hops and faint bisquits.
Flavor: Moderately bitter; woody; moderately hoppy, fiting the English IPA style.
Feel: near medium body; medium carbonation.
O: a good English-style IPA. Getbetter (1033) - East Palo Alto, California, USA - JUN 17, 2014
From a tap at the brewery. The pour is a orange hue with a white lace. Not super hoppy spruce sweet medium body. penstemon (224) - Washington, USA - MAY 30, 2014
Pours orange-amber with a straw colored head. Aroma is biscuit, lightly toasted grain, dusty, light orangey citrus, and earthy. Taste is sweet grain, orangey citrus, orange hard candies, leafy/woody/herbal, slight peach, medium bitterness. Chewy, resinous, medium body. I’d like to try another of these.
